@dkreative1 @Tablesalt13 @alan_poirier That’s the problem the laws before were very strict and only eminent death was allowing for mAID. Now they want anyone with psychiatric problems to be mAIDed. Anyone older with any issues etc. I’m old and I fear they’ll offer me a “maid” some day. Everyone record convos with docs
English

@Tablesalt13 @alan_poirier It’s time to change a few laws surrounding MAiD.
Like Doctors/medical providers can’t bring it up.
Patients must initiate it.
And if the medical community disregards this, then they should be financially penalized.
Somehow they must get the message: #EnoughIsEnough

@FoodProfessor oh wow, I'd be checking to make sure the meat isn't lab grown. And ALL privately owned grocery stores should immediately move from Toronto.
English

@justistruth @MarcNixon24 @ToddDohertyMP Same, they are clueless to the real Canadian household. Was telling my grandson how much a grocery store order of our usual food for the week used to cost about $100, now it's 2-3 times that minimum. Costco used to be around $100 was $400 this week
English

I went from Ribeye once a week my own BBQing to now buying none a week. How is that affordable.? I make Nachos and cheese for supper it is now a 30 dollar meal. More affordable for him maybe but not me! @ToddDohertyMP ……Please tell Adam from me( Justin D) from your riding I say bullshit! But please don’t swear in the HOC! But what a clueless human! Sad truly sad! I don’t care if he tells me off on X. Gonna check if I am blocked!
English

@MarcNixon24 "Officially" because they said so? That's how it's official. Not with the people who are paying for groceries about 4 times higher right now
English

@OlenaRohoza Well firstly he’s not a president lol secondly he’s not even that great a prime minister. IMHO

@MelissaLMRogers I support Carney, but I agree that prices are higher than before.
However, this is not caused by Carney.
It comes from Trump's tariffs.

@thesovereignceo @MarkJCarney @Nate_Manis My daughter is over 40 and went to university at the early age of 18. She’s still paying her Loans back.
English

@MarkJCarney @Nate_Manis So free education for Indian students but local Canadians get loans with interest?

@Vinny79584337 @april79402326 @MissTrissLove28 @Matt_Pinner The first vaccines showed about 94–95% efficacy in clinical trials. Those trials mainly measured symptomatic, not transmission. Because the results were so high, many public health officials & media messages gave the impression that vaccinated people wouldn’t get COVID at all.
English

@april79402326 @MissTrissLove28 @Matt_Pinner No, they didn’t. They said Covid wouldn’t be as bad if you got the vaccine and this person might’ve been dead without the shot !

@Tangul_Bei @DonaldBestCA @JanRavensbergen @TorontoStar Tell that to my perfectly healthy sis-in-law She was teaching had a tummy ache, went to the doctor and they found cancer cells. In 5 weeks, she passed away. HER oncologist said she's never seen a cancer spread so fast....Turbo in my opinion. Don't ever call me a moron again pls
English

It's called 'Turbo-Cancer' and it's taking down young people at rates never before seen.
A question and an observation is on everyone's mind - but the @TorontoStar doesn't dare write the words that we are all thinking.

@SatireSquadHQ So my country sends billions to other countries and gets deeper and deeper into debt and we the people have to bail them out. Again.

New Poll Shows Canadian Seniors Overwhelmingly Support 25% Home Equity Tax
OTTAWA — A new survey released this week suggests Canadian seniors overwhelmingly support bold measures to address the country’s growing debt burden including a proposed 25% tax on home equity.
According to the poll, nearly nine in ten seniors said they would support the measure as a “responsible step” to stabilize the country’s finances and ensure long-term economic sustainability.
Analysts say the result reflects a strong sense of civic responsibility among older homeowners.
“Canadian seniors understand the importance of sacrifice,” one commentator explained. “They recognize that difficult decisions may be necessary.”
However, the poll revealed one notable detail in the methodology.
When respondents were asked follow-up questions, the majority clarified they supported the tax only if it applied to future homeowners and younger generations.
Support dropped sharply when respondents were asked whether the tax should apply to existing home equity accumulated over the past several decades.
“Of course we support it,” one retiree said.
“Canada needs bold action… starting with the next generation.”
