We need your help 📢 45 critically threatened African Savannah elephants, including mothers and babies, are set to be culled (slaughtered) in the coming days unless we act now. Please share this message and email ignatia.khuzwayo@kznwildlife.com. Demand a stay of execution for these elephants. Let's find a solution that saves this herd, not destroys it 🐘🐘🐘 #SaveThe45 #MawanaElephantRescue

Fantastic news!!! After nearly a decade of inquiries, reports and a parliamentary colloquium, the South Africa government has approved an end to captive breeding of lions and rhinos. dailymaverick.co.za/article/2024-0…

When you look at this it's hard to imagine the cumulative amount of suffering in this picture. Each dot was a beautiful innocent sentient being who owned one thing, their life, and we ripped that apart. This is barbaric. This is not what a civilized and kind society looks like.

Thank you for being a part of the #CageFreeSA movement! Battery cages cause suffering by depriving hens of their basic needs: nests, perches, and enough space to move around. Let's continue being a voice for caged hens in 2024! Here's a look at @SAFCEI's wins of the year!

Caged animals experience immense suffering, yet their needs are neglected. With ethical approaches, we can alleviate suffering and help our animals greatly. All of us can save animals.💚📢 #AnimalWelfare

The stress of extreme confinement weakens hens' immune systems, posing public health threats like antibiotic resistance & zoonotic diseases such as avian flu. Use our #CageFreeSA advocacy toolkit to show your support online: buff.ly/3PJI77o

We wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment. Hens, like all living beings, deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. #cagefree #cagefreeeggs 🐓🐣@Picknpay #Eggs

Even in death, a #hen's body does not belong to them. Crammed into a tiny cage, genetically bred to produce an unnatural 300 #eggs per year, the suffering continues until her tired body fails, when she'll be sent to slaughter. #AnimalAbuse #AnimalCruelty

So what could @PicknPay do going forward, when it comes to the caged eggs they are selling? A Phased Approach: 1. Give notice for when your support for caged eggs will end. 2. Put a max quota leading up to that notice in place and try to sell less than your quota. #CageFreeSA

Do you know what happens to your body when you eat pure cruelty? #CageFreeSA animalequality.org/blog/2022/10/1…

@TreeshakeEarth @SAFCEI @Neo_skhandisa @PoultryBulletin @MarianneThamm @MakwalaAgri @SteynsburgVet @DawnJorgensen @BantuB_South @Josphat_Ekuam @LeighAnnMol There is no better opportunity than this one to really change the egg supply chain we use in South Africa. The public may pay a little more in the short run for cagefree eggs but economies of scale will make them cheaper. Otherwise one is just eating pure cruelty. #CageFreeSA
