What is happening with IPS led CAPFs first needs serious scrutiny. Borrowing Army symbols, terminology, rank style insignia, and conference formats may create an image of military professionalism, but optics cannot substitute for domain expertise, internal meritocracy, and genuine institutional strength. When cadre officers are sidelined and leadership remains overly concentrated, it weakens morale, professionalism, and operational effectiveness within those forces themselves. The larger danger is how this mindset begins to affect the Army too. If symbolism is valued over substance, and if political or bureaucratic influence starts overshadowing military professionalism, it can erode institutional autonomy, chain of command clarity, and merit based culture. In a real crisis, whether war, insurgency, or national disaster, such weakening can be extremely dangerous and detrimental to national security. Equally alarming is the increasingly docile posture of top Army leadership on such matters, and at times even in civilian incidents involving its own personnel and families. India needs strong, principled generals in the mould of Sam Manekshaw and K.V. Krishna Rao, leaders who will firmly defend the Army’s honour, professional space, and apolitical character while keeping the institution above politics.

After copying Army’s rank insignia like stars on georgette patches, naming ‘Commands’ etc IPS-led CAPFs are now copying Army Commanders Conference. But I bet there will be more IPS officers in the conference than cadre officers.

The Army lost its moral ascendency on Police when it let Sumedh Singh Saini get away with the ill-treatment of a CMP Lt Colonel in Chandigarh while Saini was mere SSP. The then Army Commander and Chief of Staff are to be blamed. The next downfall was in Colonel Bath’s case when Patiala Police was allowed to get away after thrashing a full Colonel. Now repent at leisure.

If this is the standard, then corruption is no longer a crime, it is a technical loophole. An officer is caught on video with ₹2 lakh in neatly packed bundles, yet the focus shifts to where the cash was placed instead of why it was there. This is exactly why public faith in the system is collapsing. Let us be blunt. The rot is not limited to one inspector. The problem runs deep within the policing structure, especially the insulated and unaccountable IPS cadre that operates with colonial era authority and minimal consequences. Citizens fund this machinery through their taxes, yet too often it functions as a power structure over the public rather than a service for the public. India needs structural police reform, not cosmetic fixes. The IPS cadre must be reorganised on the lines of the UK model with independent oversight bodies, separation of law and order from investigation, fixed tenures insulated from political pressure but answerable to civilian review, and transparent performance accountability. A 19th century policing architecture cannot serve a 21st century democracy. Reform is not optional anymore. It is urgent.

What kind of rotten judiciary we have... This is Inspector Dhananjay Singh. In October, he was caught red-handed while allegedly taking a ₹2 lakh bribe. The video showed four neat bundles of ₹500 notes — so obvious that even corruption itself might’ve blushed. But justice, it turns out, has exceptionally sharp eyesight. The High Court granted him bail. Why? Because the cash wasn’t found in his pocket. Not in his hand. Not on his body. It was found inside a file. 📁💼 And just like that, the money apparently became… paperwork. After this ruling, maybe it’s time for a new government syllabus: “How to Accept a Bribe in a Court-Approved Manner” Lesson 1: Never keep it in your pocket — use a file Lesson 2: Not in your hand — documents are safer Lesson 3: If caught, confidently say: 👉 “It wasn’t mine. It belonged to the papers.” Because in this system, evidence doesn’t disappear — it just gets better filing. #prasannakunariyengar

If these allegations are even partly true, they’re extremely serious and go far beyond routine politics. When a sitting CM names specific links, foreign nationals, undisclosed bank accounts and possible FCRA violations, the matter cannot be brushed aside as political mudslinging. Transparency and national security demand a thorough, time bound investigation. Silence or deflection from those named will only deepen suspicion. In a democracy, no one’s family connections or foreign financial links are above scrutiny, especially when they involve sensitive information related to India.

BIG REVELATION by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma He alleges that Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi’s wife, Elizabeth, gathered information related to India and shared reports with Pakistani national Ali Sheikh. CM Himanta claims Elizabeth collected information from IB sources on climate action after PM Narendra Modi came to power. He further alleges that Gaurav Gogoi did not disclose his wife’s Pakistani bank account in his election affidavit and that FCRA norms were bypassed to make payments to her.

This GaN semiconductor breakthrough is historic. GaN chips power next generation radars missiles drones and fighter aircraft and place India among a very small global club. It is a major step toward defence self reliance and technological sovereignty. But hardware alone is not enough. Core radar architecture signal processing software expertise and production capability at scale ultimately decide real combat performance. Uttam AESA has shown strong results with fighter sized target detection beyond 140 km and excellent multi target tracking. At the same time systems like ELTA 2052 remain more mature and combat proven with longer published detection ranges in certain configurations. GaN is the foundation now India must master the full stack.

Absolutely the right call by the Karnataka High Court. The bike taxi ban was legally weak and constitutionally unsound. An outright prohibition without a clear regulatory framework violated the right to livelihood of drivers and the right of citizens to affordable mobility. Two wheelers are recognised under the Motor Vehicles Act as transport vehicles when properly permitted. Shutting down services run by Ola, Uber, and Rapido punished commuters for governance failures while public transport systems continue to struggle. Regulation is the answer not bans. Public interest and constitutional freedoms must come first.

The Jasleen Kaur–Sarvjeet Singh episode exposed a blind spot in our justice discourse.A man’s life was torn apart on an accusation alone.Public shaming came first. Facts came much later. When the court cleared him, the damage was already done. Careers don’t reset. Trauma doesn’t vanish. And still, there was no responsibility for a proven false charge. Protecting women is necessary. Protecting men from misuse of law is equally necessary. A fair system must safeguard the innocent, regardless of gender.

Israel has demolished the Jerusalem HQ of UNRWA after banning the agency, citing long standing security concerns. Israel says Hamas infiltrated UNRWA operations, used its facilities for cover regrouping weapons storage and tunnels, and that some staff were linked to the Oct 7 terror attack. When humanitarian institutions lose neutrality and are exploited by terror groups, civilians suffer most and trust in international systems collapses.

Never forget how Jasleen Kaur falsely accused Sarvjeet Singh of sexual harassment. > He was called Delhi ka Darinda > He was arrested > Delhi CM, many politicians and celebrities supported her > She got awards > Later, it turned out the entire accusations were false > Many eyewitnesses supported him > He was acquitted > She faced no punishment > Nobody even apologised to him Never believe a woman's word until you hear the man's side first. A man can lose his career, reputation, and even life because of such false accusations. While there is still no punishment for such women. How is that okay?

A necessary reminder. As sovereignty is repeatedly violated across regions, reaffirming a multipolar world rooted in international law matters more than ever. Recent behavior by the United States shows a pattern of bullying diplomacy, sanctions as weapons, regime change pressures, and open threats to the sovereignty of other nations. This erosion of norms is exactly what destabilizes the global order. Strengthening the United Nations, prioritizing comprehensive security, and choosing cooperation over coercion are essential. Peace is not imposed by force, it is built day by day through dialogue, mutual respect, and shared responsibility for global stability and human prosperity.

Iran’s crackdown is entering a terrifying phase. Eyewitnesses and human rights groups report security forces blending into crowds, sudden live fire on protesters, and arrests of the injured inside hospitals. Internet blackouts and fear are being weaponised to destroy trust and isolate people from each other. Silence only empowers this brutality. Independent access and accountability are urgent.

They're dressing like civilians, acting like they're part of the crowd, then guiding people straight into killing zones. Once you're there, it’s too late. Armed forces are waiting and open fire. Appeasement politics has already hollowed out multiple sectors, but dragging the medical field into this is unforgivable. Healthcare is not a playground for vote bank experiments. When standards fall, patients pay the price, not politicians. This is one line we cannot afford to cross, because compromised competence in medicine doesn’t just fail a system, it costs lives.

Until now, the minimum qualifying criterion for PG medical seats for SC, ST, and OBC candidates was the 40th percentile, about 235 marks out of 800. As per an order of the Ministry of Health, this has been reduced to the 0th percentile, meaning even a score of –40 out of 800 is now eligible, subject to seat availability. The one profession that directly deals with life and death, where competence should be sacred and non-negotiable,has been dragged down to this level. Perhaps this is the only country in the world where such a dangerous dilution of standards is not just tolerated, but actively encouraged.

Reports from Chambal village in Himachal Pradesh are deeply worrying. When any community is reduced to just a few families due to alleged illegal land occupation, blocked grazing, cattle theft, harassment of women and violence against those protesting, it points to a serious failure of local governance, not something to be brushed aside. What’s needed now is calm but firm action. Land records must be checked and boundaries clarified openly. Allegations of theft and harassment must be investigated fairly. Grazing rights and common lands should be protected under the law. Above all, the safety of women and vulnerable families cannot be compromised. Justice and accountability, not silence or division, are the only way to restore trust and harmony in the village.

Reports from Gorgan of 50–200 protesters gunned down show a regime that has completely abandoned any claim to legitimacy. Internet blackouts and information suppression only reinforce one thing: they have something massive to hide. When an army is turned against its own people, the state has crossed a red line. The world cannot look away. Silence now is complicity. Independent investigations, accountability, and international pressure are no longer optional, they are urgent.

Meloni’s sarcasm cuts deep because the frustration is real. When US rhetoric turns into tantrums, allies are pushed into absurd hypotheticals instead of serious strategy. But storming McDonald’s won’t fix NATO’s credibility crisis. If Washington keeps lecturing while destabilising alliances, Europe will naturally explore options including talking to Russia. Alliances survive on respect and consistency, not pressure politics.

US commandos allegedly storm a sovereign nation in the dead of night and abduct Venezuela’s President and First Lady from their bedroom. Reports say she was injured during the operation. If this is acceptable conduct then international law has no meaning left. The same power then lectures the world on human rights feminism and a rules based international order through global institutions NGOs and agencies it funds and heavily influences. When accountability is selective morality becomes propaganda. When institutions stay silent credibility collapses. The only way to ensure this never repeats is to fix the system, not just sympathize after the damage is done. Military Intelligence officers operate in grey zones across the world and must be institutionally protected. That means mandatory prior sanction before arrest, independent judicial oversight insulated from political pressure, time bound trials, and clear accountability for investigators who fabricate or suppress evidence. Inter agency cases must have a neutral review board, and officers proven innocent must get restoration of rank, career, and dignity. A nation that uses its soldiers as scapegoats weakens its own security; a nation that protects them strengthens its foundations.

Nice attempt at rewriting history, but facts do not bend to propaganda. The Galwan clash happened because China violated existing agreements by building and advancing structures in a no patrol zone. Indian soldiers went there unarmed, as per protocol, to demand restoration of status quo. What followed was a brutal ambush with nailed clubs and surprise reinforcements. Yes, casualties happened on both sides. The difference is this: India openly acknowledged its martyrs, honoured their sacrifice, informed families, and stood by the truth. China hid its numbers for months, censored discussions, punished citizens for asking questions, and quietly awarded medals later without transparency. We recognise our fallen soldiers with pride and accountability. You bury yours under silence and state censorship. That contrast itself tells the world where credibility lies.
