@moseskagan No need to build anything new. Tools (Zendesk, Helpscout, etc) use built in or 3rd party auto response features using NLP. 1.Create “macros” to answer FAQs in 1 click. 2. Tell the tool to look for similar Qs. 3. Go from auto suggest to auto reply once you are confident in it.

Tech people: Here’s a potential application for GTP-3, etc: Front-line property management is largely cutting & pasting pre-written responses to frequent tenant questions & requests. This could certainly be automated, allowing PM personnel to work on higher-level tasks.

@Shpigford It’s like Giger and Munch had the time of their lives and channeled their unbridled joy into a mildly depressing collaboration

🖼️🤖 AI-generated art request thread! Reply with subject matter that you think would be interesting and I'll reply to you with an AI-generated piece of art! Be as specific or as vague as you'd like. Including certain styles, artists or moods is perfectly fine.

@litcapital Tough call. Not being able to find people willing to pay for Netflix is how they got into this mess in the first place. *badum-tiss* That’s all for tonight folks. Check out my Netflix special this fall.

@tylertringas Essentially stop the burden for those who can’t pay. Incentivize those who want to. Build a viable alternative to taking on massive debt for those who haven’t started.

@tylertringas Would take time but start with canceling student loan interest. Allow discharge in bankruptcy. Expand pay as you earn and service based forgiveness programs. 401(k) style pre-tax company matching/contribution. Free vocational and community college. What else?

Is there some nuanced version of the "cancel student debt" idea floating around that also deals with the underlying cost problems in education and perverse incentive of "if you take on way too much debt we'll just cancel it"? What's the steel man?

@DKThomp @paulg Homes are designed for people to live in; hotels are design to profit from people passing through. The more commercial the space the less personal it feels. Homes give permission to fully relax while shared spaces keep us “on” knowing others are around.

@paulg Interesting to think about this framework, replacing travel for work. "It should be easy for [HOTELS] to provide a vastly superior [TRAVEL] environment to [AIRBNB HOMES], because they are exclusively designed with [TRAVEL] in mind." And yet! Something special about home.

Important point. "It should be easy for the office to provide a vastly superior working environment to the home, because it is designed and equipped with work in mind." Yet how often do offices actually succeed in this? timharford.com/2022/04/what-l…
