Risk/reward seems attractive: Token consumption accelerating, GPU per hour rental prices going vertical and Tech valuations are broadly below their Covid and Deepseek lows. Some high quality secular growth names are at mid single digit multiples on real 27/28 numbers.

@TreyToy @JigsawCap I don’t hedge. But if you wanted to, index hedging is the most efficient way to protect against market or sector risk.
Individual name shorting exposes you to idio risk and is far riskier and time consuming to do well.

Ya I add a lot of excess return from long size flexing up and down counter cyclically in response to stock price moves. And intra months moves can create far more return than even the pnl benefit or something like a 10-30% index hedge in a down month.
Which is why I ask - what’s the point? And when you consider basis risk it feels like greater chance index hedging would actually cost me money over time as well for little benefit.

The returns of these places are way different than you would think. Some like akre haven’t even beat the index in 15 years while tci almost doubles it.

I like AltaRock's port. High conviction holdings. 1/3 $AMZN 1/4 $TDG 1/5 $MSFT It's not going to get you 20%+ cagr for an extended period of time but you can comfortably outperform the market for a decade from here.
