The average buyer of the Steam Machine did not buy it for speed, or even performance, but for convenience. Yes it is more expensive than a PS5 or Xbox series X, but you are not limited to a (restrictive) ecosystem. But the price point is understandable if you look at the latest price increases all over the place. But the convenience factor is what is missing from most reviews and reviewers, all keep hammering on performance and speed like verbal diarrhea, same they did with the Steam Deck back in the day.

Valve’s Steam Machine delivers almost the same gaming performance on Windows 11 as on SteamOS.
According to benchmarks from ETA PRIME, SteamOS was only around 1% faster on average across the games tested.
In real gameplay, that’s such a small difference that most players won’t notice it.
The tests compared several modern games at different settings.
Most performed almost the same on both operating systems, although Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the few titles where SteamOS showed a more noticeable lead.
- SteamOS was around 1% faster overall.
- Windows 11 scored higher in Geekbench 6 CPU tests, but those gains didn’t translate into higher gaming FPS.

@CaptainKatarn Your video and this comment reply has so many falsehoods, it needs to be addressed: 1. Open world sandbox full loot games do great. Rust has been in the top 10 Steam games list for years and only rises in population. It has an average of 120k concurrent players. 2. Other areas than AC or Hathor have plenty of PvP. I have DAYS worth of footage from PvP in Pyro, and snaring in Nyx is very popular. Check my YouTube for proof. 3. Dune Awakening had its biggest player loss 2 weeks after launch which was when the Anti PvP update came out. Concurrent players went from 100k to 50k overnight. Check the Steam Charts. 4. PvP dominates the gaming world. League of Legends had 2 bil in revenue per year, compared to GTA5 which only had 1 bil on average. Top 10 Steam games list is dominated by PvP. 5. Ask yourself: why don't other companies like Blizzard release concurrent player counts like Rust and Eve do? Probably because they aren't as high as you think and the game is a house on stilts. Open for convo and debate on this, respond anytime!

Alright, now that a few days have passed I must say. I think jubilee is dogshit. She seems like a jack of all trades master of none. Wanna play dive, jeff or rocket is better. Wanna play poke, invis, luna, adam, mantis or ultron are better. Wanna play brawl, invis, rocket, CnD, mantis... well you get the memo. It feels like she has an identity crysis where she doesn't know where she belongs. I could be completely wrong and I've just been running the wrong comps with her but this is what it feels like to me. All things said, she's very fun but quite underwhelming. So anyways, I'm running more games tomorrow down with her :)
