I was wearing a Zimi mask when I went for a procedure last year and the nurse checking me in didn't believe my blood oxygen was at 100% and took it again to try to prove I couldn't possibly be getting such oxygen in a mask. 🤷‍♀️ Broadly, healthcare workers do not understand air.
Jess ꩜@BlueLotusBlunts

Saw someone on insta say they stopped masking cuz of their blood oxygen, that their doc told them they’re masking too much and they believed the doc. Masks don’t prevent oxygen from getting through. Countless studies say this. I know there are valid reasons to not be able to mask

We don't. If you're interested in dating men, you need to drop the patriarchal scripts and see yourself as an equal participant, not wish constant unwanted, potentially dangerous attention on everyone else because you seek validation in being an object to be pursued.

Almost every woman over 30 I’ve spoken to in the past few years feels some version of the same thing: feminism has failed us somewhere along the way, and made men increasingly passive, hesitant, and unwilling to take initiative. How do we course-correct from here?

@naledimashishi I unfortunately have zero sympathy for people who'd take advantage of divisive racist lies about this country.

Because Africa had started asking the economic questions. People were asking why Sudan is being bombed for gold, why Congolese kids are slaving for cobalt, why IMF &World Bank are destroying african public services as terms of their loans. Now they are taking us back to" tribes"
#LandIsNotProperty Mwalimu Wandia@wmnjoya

The West is doing this to Africa deliberately. Putting the worst of us out there to reinforce the narrative that this is the best that Africans can do.

There's an even better solution: don't use AI at all and then this question becomes irrelevant. Let's face it, outside writing code, perhaps, it creates little or nothing of any value and is based on the wholesale theft of other people's intellectual property. We don't need it.

David Sacks says companies are trapped paying OpenAI & Anthropic because they can't figure out how to use open source models "I think enterprise CTOs would like to shift their token consumption to cheaper models for the obvious reason that it would be more efficient. They are seeing compute costs or token costs skyrocket right now, so everyone's trying to figure this out." "You also have the AI sovereignty issue that Alex Karp talked about. They're worried about giving up the secret sauce or the alpha in their business to a frontier lab that may one day be competing with them. "The problem is, I think in most cases, they don't have the technical ability to do it. Coinbase figured out how to do it. DoorDash figured out how to do it. They built a token routing system that allows them to send frontier tasks to frontier models and non frontier tasks to more mundane models. But I don't think your average enterprise has the technical capability to do that." "This is why the share of wallet of closed models, it actually increased. I think that open source went from 19% last year to 11% this year. So open source as a share of enterprise spending is actually decreasing." "I don't think that means usage is decreasing. I think usage is skyrocketing. It also may be the case that because the whole point of using an open model is you just pay for the compute costs, you don't have to pay a lab, so it may be that it's hard to measure that usage in terms of spend." "But nonetheless, anyone who's saying that these closed models are going to lose or are somehow losing, you're just not seeing it in the data."

here’s an update on keith porters case from organizers and relatives: 1. LAPD took six months to produce a report. They refused to name his killer 2. community members and journalists with the LA Times exposed Keith Porter’s killer themselves. The killer’s name is Brian Palacios
foxy marxist ☭🔻@FoxyMarxist

It has been almost 200 days since New Year's Eve 2025 and Keith Porter Jr. still has not gotten even an ounce of justice since he was murdered by an ICE agent for the crime of celebrating new year's.

men will gloat about how “uncomplicated” and surface level their friendships with other men are — “we don’t talk about feelings”, “we don’t know each others middle names”, “women are so dramatic in their friendships and care about such stupid things” — and then get online and cry when they have no community and no one who cares about them. women have community because they foster it. they invest in genuine connections. they develop emotional intelligence. they showcase empathy. they don’t allow selfishness to rule their lives. men should try it instead of playing victim in self-inflicted circumstances (per usual).
The Black Horse@TheBlackHorse65

One of the things women really don't understand about life as a man is that the more difficult your life gets, the less people care about yuor suffering. Once you leave your mother's house, no one is ever pull you out of a downward spiral again unless you do it.

Germany banned the phrase, "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free." So instead, at Palestine demos, they say, "There is only one state, Palestine 48." Long live Palestine.
