@DuckBurger4 and we'd all have to do seasonal shifts in the scorchlands beyond the coast to sustain ourselves but i think that's okay

@DuckBurger4 im thinkin based on the panther-thug-hyphy timeline

i think we could probably fit a billion people in the blue. it'd have to be like three times denser than core Manila (less than kowloon though!) but I think we could do it.

even when you set it to basically just SF weather there's still a belt in the south... truly the Bay Area is an exclave of New Afrika

Far too generous, it's really closer to something like this. 60-80F, a lower dewpoint, and a max cloud cover rule.

@hellaclitean Air conditioning is expensive in CA because of Title 24
It has the highest energy efficiency costs and lowest RoI on energy efficiency because people leave windows open most of the year

@lemmingstribes @virusmeadow_ the central valley’s thermal sacrifice will fulfill its historical mission: providing a ton of hot rising air to suck more cold low air through the golden gate

My recobstruction of Bodo Man, as requested by @AnthropoTube This fella lived and died in Ethiopia around 600,000 years ago and may represent the direct ancestors (or at least one of the direct ancestors) of Homo Sapiens; he has tentatively been classified as "Homo Bodoensis"

@MarkSpitzer0484 @WeatherProf there being more energy in the system pretty clearly could contribute to a buckling jet stream

Such huperbole and exaggerations. These heat domes, or upper level high pressure systems as they are officially called by meteorologists, occur in varying strengths and durations EVERY SUMMER, the strongest ever occurring in July 1989 which did not have an El Nino that summer.. But because there's an El Nino occurring now, these "heat domes" are being caused by it directly? Where's the data that supports that they wouldn't have occurred without El Nino?

Heat Domes Dominate the Planet! Sound up!
Typically El Niño waits until fall to impact the jet stream, but this one is supercharged. That means the heat in the Tropical Pacific is already helping to reorganize atmospheric waves, leading to persistent and intense heat domes in North America with downstream impacts in Europe. Those heat waves are of course significantly boosted by the long term warming trend. #elnino #heatwave #heatdome #extremeweather
