Something I hate about people judging their own wealth based on their real estate value is that real estate value is speculative but cash flow is real. Many many people accepting lower standards of living because they think it washes out in the price of their home.

@FalconryFinance In the cooking method of monkey meat, it is boiled for a long time to soften the meat and kill germs. It is often prepared in the form of a soup or stew with local herbs and spices. If it is to be dried, in some remote areas it is also dried over smoke to preserve the meat.

@meathead I really appreciate that insight as I haven’t thought about pathogens at that point. I “assumed” it was as safe as cubing it (without fully cubing it of course). So you would suggest dry brined and vacuum sealed sous vide instead?

There is a very slight risk to this process. If there is contamination on the surface of the meat, and that is where it commonly appears, by stabbing it, you are not only driving the seasonings down to the center, but you were driving pathogens down to where the final temperature is not high enough to kill them.

Marinade myths, busted. Most marinades do not soak deep into meat. They mostly live on the surface. The exceptions are seafood and vegetables, which take on flavor more easily. Want marinades to work better on thicker foods? Give them a hand. Lightly gashing or scoring creates more surface area and gives the marinade places to cling and sneak in. Here is our go-to marinade and brinerade for seafood and veggies, plus tips on how to use it: amazingribs.com/tested-recipes… #BBQ #Marinade #GrillingTips #CookingScience #BBQScience #Seafood #Veggies #OutdoorCooking #FoodNerd #GrillLife

Infected insects used for biological warfare are called “vectors”. While there have been experiments using these as recent as the 1960s and earlier, they were deemed unreliable thus ineffective. They could just as easily infect friendly forces as well as enemies. Once released, you can no longer control where they go.

Chinese scientists are using mosquitoes to vaccinate bats against rabies and the Nipah virus | Not the Bee Surely, nothing could go wrong here... Yeah, I don't exactly trust the Chinese when it comes to experimenting with viruses. But they're doing it! From the article: The Chinese research team created a vaccine based on a weakened version of vesicular somatitis virus (VSV), which can infect both insects and mammals and is already used in an approved Ebola vaccine made by Merck. They then designed two innovative delivery methods to vaccinate bats against Nipah and rabies - which have fatality rates of up to 75 per cent and nearly 100 per cent, respectively. This just gives weird science-fiction vibes even though it's probably fine and actually might be productive. (But again, CHINA.) In one route, researchers fed the Aedes aegypti mosquito blood containing the vaccine, which replicates inside the insect's salivary glands. This means it is transferred when the insect bites the bat, or the bat eats the insects. In experiments in the laboratory, both bats and mice exposed to the sterilised vaccine-carrying mosquitoes developed neutralising antibodies against both diseases. The researchers also conducted a challenge trial for rabies - all of the animals exposed to the virus survived the lethal infection. They could not replicate this for Nipah as they did not have access to a high-level biosecurity laboratory, but said that the antibody levels in the vaccinated animals were similar. Oh, by all means, why don't you give these Chinese scientists access to that high-level biosecurity lab and let them experiment with the Nipah virus? It'll be fine, I'm sure. So go ahead, China - experiment away! Maybe it'll work. (Or we'll all die.) notthebee.com/article/scient…

I have almost 70 blueberry bushes here in South Carolina. You can take cuttings from their new growth during the summer after they finished fruiting and you should prune them during their winter dormancy. And yes, as other have stated, mulch them well with pine needles and or pine tree mulch. They should also be well watered during the spring as the flowers and then berries begin forming.

🚨 Do you understand what this man just pulled off.. > a guy from North Carolina used AI to generate hundreds of thousands of songs.. uploaded them to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon.. then botted billions of streams on his own tracks and walked away with $8 million > 660,000 fake streams per day.. spread across thousands of AI songs so nobody noticed.. $1.2 million a year.. for music no human ever actually listened to real artists are out here grinding for 0.003 cents per stream.. promoting on TikTok.. begging for playlist placements.. and this guy just had AI make the music AND the audience first-ever criminal streaming fraud case.. he's paying back $8 million.. but the playbook is out there now.. and AI just got better since he started the music industry spent 10 years fighting piracy.. now they have to fight songs that don't exist being listened to by people who don't exist.

Dangerous virus with no cure sounds terrifying until you realize it’s being framed to spark panic more than understanding. Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) isn’t some mysterious new apocalypse. It’s a well-known respiratory virus that’s been circulating for years, no specific cure doesn’t mean no help treatment could be focuses on managing symptoms, just like with many common viral infections.

I had the incredible opportunity to hold a Mata’a from a private collection on Easter Island. These are distinct, obsidian stemmed artifacts that were used as both weapons and tools, and were likely hafted to wooden handles. FALSE☝️ - While a majority are generically in favor of voter ID, the vast majority do NOT favor significantly added $cost & bureaucracy of adding controls which would result in making it harder for 10’s of millions to exercise their right to vote with very limited time to remedy …unlike REALID which took years. One example of bureaucracy is shown below. - There has been ZERO relevant fraud in any fed or state level election in U.S. history. IOW, there are ZERO reasons to increase controls & bureaucracy but every reason to decrease controls to help more people vote - It is already unlawful for non-citizens to vote with severe penalties for doing so. The big question here is …why does Fetterman consistently act inconsistent with the vast majority of those who voted him into office?

We’re coming back from the shelter. The whole ride, he kept looking at me like this, not really knowing where he was going. I could see the confusion in his eyes, a mix of uncertainty and hope. He probably thinks he's going to another place, another cage, another lonely night. But what he doesn’t know yet is that this time is different. He’s going to a real home. No more cold floors or empty walls. Just warmth, love, and a family. His journey is just beginning, and I’ll be there every step of the way.

This is how they torment and brutalize heritage Americans; they hate us more than anyone can imagine. MI gardener on YT got harassed in this way when he tried to build a nursery on his new property. For 3 years his viewers had no idea because he had a GAG order and he was forced to spend his life savings to put back trees and other stuff that he had removed to make the business. The justification for this was that miles and miles of tiny creeks and streams eventually theoretically led to a far away river so he was "harming wetlands". These are demons and it's not the actions of humans - the supposed justifications for it are just meant to make it feel even worse as a form of mockery.
American Rancher Alliance/Hufeisen Ranch@WyoWagyu

What if the government told your family ranch you owed $3.7 million… for a pond your cattle have been drinking from for decades? That’s exactly what’s happening to a fourth-generation ranch family in Washington State. Wade and Teresa King have been running cattle on their land for generations. Like thousands of ranchers across the West, they built small stock ponds so their cattle have water in dry country. Now the Washington State Department of Ecology says those ponds aren’t ponds. They say they’re illegal wetlands. The state has already issued the ranch a $267,540 fine and claims the family may have to spend over $3.7 million restoring the land. On top of that, the Washington Department of Natural Resources terminated grazing leases the ranch had held for around 60 years, removing nearly 15,000 acres of grazing land their operation depended on. The King family says these are man-made cattle ponds, something ranchers across the West have built and maintained for generations. The state says they damaged rare wetlands. Now the fight isn’t just about ponds. It’s about property rights, agriculture, and whether ranchers have the right to defend themselves in front of a jury instead of a government administrative court. If the state wins, this case could affect thousands of ranches across the western United States that rely on stock ponds to water cattle. This isn’t just one ranch’s fight. It could shape the future of American ranching. If you believe American ranchers deserve truth, trust, and transparency in the food system, help us rebuild a producer-led beef supply chain. Visit GoARABeef.org to learn how ranchers are working together to bring transparency and fair markets back to American agriculture. Because the fight for American land, American ranchers, and American food is just getting started. ⸻ #Ranching #PropertyRights #AmericanRancherAlliance #AgNews #FoodSystem #FarmLife #TruthInFarming #CattleCountry #AgTok #FarmNews
