From $6M–$30M down to $18K–$95K? That's not an 'accounting error'—that's a $30 million miracle. Or felony math. Either way, Ilhan Omar owes Congress (and the public) a lot more than a revised form. How about a resignation, @Ilhan
Byron York@ByronYork

Rep. Ilhan Omar filed documents with Congress saying her wealth was between $6 million and $30 million. Now she says that was a mistake, and her wealth is actually between $18,000 and $95,000. That's quite a difference. From @WSJ: wsj.com/politics/polic…

@HillsEmilyJ Six to nine months was probably my most difficult. I was fully trying to get back into my old life and not drink. I made it but felt like I was always on the razor edge of temptation. Stay strong and if you aren't feeling strong, find someone who is..😀

Also, I love this line: "You can't follow, say $10M from one organization through 16 other organizations, and then say the one organization at the top is controlling all of them." Ummm... yes you CAN say that and be totally truthful. It's a sort of money laundering. The real puppet master is pulling the strings, but the money goes through so many hands that the puppet can claim they are not a puppet. Like "Braver Angels."

So let me get this straight. Doll here dehumanizes Data Republican as a "DEI hire," despite her immense intellect, talents and ground breaking analytics on how our tax dollars are diverted to woke non-governmental programs. Then I call Doll out on her dehumanizing behavior. So then Doll accuses me of dehumanizing HER. This is DARVO at its finest.
Elizabeth Doll@doll_elizabeth

I will not give this user a quote tweet because dehumanizing engagement doesn't deserve amplification. Jennica (Datarepublican) deceives her audience, telling them what they want to hear instead of the truth. @braverangels is the only place I have ever worked where I have been able to be entirely clear and direct about my conservatism compared, including when I worked on Republican campaigns and for a socially conservative advocacy organization, because in all of those places, there was someone I couldn't contradict or sacred ideas I couldn't challenge. In Braver Angels, I get to share my conservative ideas freely and fully, without fear of being fired or canceled, even though many have tried. It is that freedom I get to advocate for everyone else to experience, and that freedom that pushes me out of my bubble and into direct, healthy conflict with all kinds of ideas, policies, and beliefs that I hate. Braver Angels collaborates with everyone and anyone as long as they are willing to speak freely and fully and disagree accurately and respectfully. I oppose DEI (promotion based on things other than merit), as a quick scroll of my feed will demonstrate. I am a staunch conservative who believes that we should elevate truth tellers like .@benshapiro, not people who make false claims. Even in her DOGE thread days, Jennica often made claims of control and intent that were not at all borne out. You can't follow, say $10M from one organization through 16 other organizations, and then say the one organization at the top is controlling all of them. When we receive grants, there are never partisan strings attached. Ever. I have fought with both Red and Blue-leaning organizations to ensure that the benchmarks we are tied to are only about culture change. We do not track votes, and we explicitly say that bipartisanship is not depolarization. I think everyone should be conservative, and I work with progressives who think everyone should be progressive. We know exactly where we agree (that we should remain Americans who love our neighbors and our enemies, and that we have fewer enemies among other Americans than we imagine) and disagree, and there is enormous trust in those relationships as a result, even as we advocate for opposite policies outside of Braver Angels. Tuesday, I argued with a colleague about mandatory vaccination during COVID, and then we hugged and joked together on our way out the door. This is the pluralistic culture that Braver Angels envisions and is seeking to create, and that's why we talk and collaborate with everyone. If you want to argue with your friends about politics and keep them as your close friends, you should join @braverangels, too.

@braxton_mccoy I have at least a dozen first hand experiences. From .308, .270, 6.5, 30.06 and 300BO. Small entry hole with no exit wound, and internals looked like strawberry jello - just destroyed.

Animals with catastrophic internal damage often display very little of that externally. A small entrance hole accompanied by some bleeding from the mouth and nose might be all you see on a deer whose insides are pulverized.

Somebody on X recently asked about personal experiences when JFK was assassinated. That got me thinking. I remember. We were living in Oslo, Norway, my dad was a captain in the USAF and worked for NATO at the Kolsas Mountain complex. My parents were down the street visiting neighbors. We lived in a Norwegian town with only one other American family. I was watching my younger brother and sister. A neighbor came over to console us. I was 8. That’s me in the photo attached from roughly the same time. Our neighbor, a Norwegian man. was crying. I’d never ever thought of news or politics until that day. I called my parents and they came home immediately. It changed me forever. It was that day that I realized that somebody other than my immediate family was important. Years later, I really dug into that day to know what happened. How about you? Were you alive? What do you remember?

I watched the original Jurassic Park years and years ago. Thought it was superb sci-fi. Never watched the sequels. Until now. I’ve been in planes a lot the past few days and have been watching them. Plot query: How many people have to be killed by rampaging escaped dinosaurs before somebody decides the whole thing is a bad idea?

It looks like peace with Iran is imminent. Stocks are way up, and oil prices are way down. The US Navy controls the Strait and the EU countries will take it over at some point. Iran lost everything and they are no longer allowed to enrich uranium. They’ve significantly damaged their relationships with their former Gulf allies. The US military won. They just executed the most flawless and historically unthinkable military operation in my lifetime. We are back! It’s over. The US won. Trump won. And, by extension, the American left lost. They, once again, chose the wrong team. Let their gnashing of teeth and prehistoric animal screeching commence! And I’m here for it! What are your thoughts? Agree or disagree? Please reply. I read ALL responses.

100% guarantee that there is more to this story than "Trump shuts down home for homeless children." I suspect that the cut was to many programs, and this is the only one that sounds like a hostage puppy.

Hannity is the worst interviewer on Fox. He loves to take 4 minutes of a 5 minute segment to frame a question all about him, leaving the guest only 30 seconds to remember what the question was. Do you still watch his show?
