The archetype of human I dislike the most is the one that needs to be adored by all. only driven in life to collect a never-ending stream of people around them to shield them from looking inward or becoming vulnerable- truly bonding, with any singular person.

Academia often suffers from pedigree bias, and some absolute dullards get elevated through the ranks- But the people that do the actual work are never fooled, so my only solace is that the recent college grads with only bachelors, have no respect and constantly mock their boss.

@helaineolen We actually have a ton of housing. The problem is because it’s so expensive to build anything the price is too high and the majority of stuff is sitting vacant The new fancy apartments above the Vons on Lincoln are like 15% occupied 😆 We should get rid of rent control

That’s it, I’m coming out in favor of boob jobs. Think about it: you do ONE THING in your youth and you can dramatically increase your attractiveness for the rest of your life. It’s ~5-10k, cheap and safe for plastic surgery. And, while every other beauty thing we do requires ongoing effort—I work out every day, I do shit to my hair and skin every day—this is one and done and never worry about it again. It’s like the IUD of beauty. (Also, you can get away with being fatter if you have breasts: your waist will look slimmer by comparison.) If you're young and slim, congratulations, you're probably already attractive, but there's obvious low-hanging fruit you're not picking

another thing that sucks about LA zoning is that a lot of the old, adorable, spanish homes are being torn down and replaced with larger homes but the occupancy is the same. just bigger houses for the same 2 rich childless couple that spends 50% of their time in nyc anyways.

I always feel for people who I can tell are dating someone who doesn’t like them for the first time. If you had normalish parents and have dated only people who like you you are not prepared for falling in love with someone who Dislikes Who You Are. It’s a canonical experience
