Nine years ago, I was a brand-new mom and a completely innocent Cambridge historian. Then the Russia Hoax hit, and I watched my entire life get ripped apart. Yet his team directed that this garbage shaped key intelligence judgments and used it to justify the persecution of President Trump and his associates. Crossfire Hurricane—the FBI’s full-blown counterintelligence probe into the Trump campaign—was already rolling under his watch. The whole scheme rested on the flimsiest predicate imaginable—Special Counsel John Durham later confirmed that. Obama’s White House ordered regular updates on the "investigation's" progress. John Brennan and his inner circle ran point. Crucially the targeting of General Michael Flynn started while Obama was in the Oval Office. All this activity went far beyond passive oversight. The same machine Obama’s people enabled turned a simple academic dinner into a spy smear against me and painted General Flynn as a Russian asset. A highly-paid CIA asset lied to the FBI that I had an affair with Gen. Flynn. Careers were shattered. Reputations were torched. An entire presidency was hobbled before it even got off the ground. These were the crimes against the Constitution—abuse of power, weaponization of intelligence, and interference in a peaceful transfer of power. All of it was orchestrated or green-lit from the highest levels. Far from being some distant guy who got “briefed and forgot,” Obama made the call that kicked the whole process into gear the moment his party lost the election. That timing came as no accident.
