The Pentagon has a $1T budget and failed 8 audits in a row. Health insurance companies defraud taxpayers out of $80B a year. The 1% steals $163B a year through tax evasion. Companies steal $50B in wages per year from US workers. Trump is giving himself a $10B settlement. Start there.

“Right now we don’t even prosecute fraud that is under $1.5 million dollars… we’re changing that” Fraudsters have literally stolen BILLIONS from the legal hardworking taxpayers as they defraud our government without any pushback Prosecute, arrest and deport all the fraudsters.

🚨Do you understand the irony of what just happened.. the FBI spent two years investigating Hillary Clinton for using a personal email for government work.. it dominated every news cycle.. it decided an election.. "lock her up.." the man they put in charge of the FBI.. just got his personal email hacked by Iran.. the DOJ confirmed it.. Iran-linked group "Handala" breached FBI Director Kash Patel's personal email and got his data.. think about the timing.. America has fired 850 Tomahawk missiles at Iran this month.. spent billions.. and Iran didn't fire back with a missile.. they walked through the front door of the FBI.. and here's what nobody wants to say out loud.. the FBI Director was using a personal email in the first place.. the same thing the FBI called a national security threat when Hillary did it.. the agency that decides what's a crime.. doesn't follow its own rules.. The rules only apply until you're the one making them.

🚨BREAKING: Every book you have ever read. Every novel that has ever been published. It is sitting inside ChatGPT right now. Word for word. Up to 90% of it. And OpenAI told a judge that was impossible. Researchers at Stony Brook University and Columbia Law School just proved it. They fine tuned GPT-4o, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and DeepSeek V3.1 on a simple task: expand a plot summary into full text. A normal use case. The kind of thing a writing assistant is built for. No hacking. No jailbreaking. No tricks. The models started reciting copyrighted books from memory. Not paraphrasing. Not summarizing. Entire pages reproduced verbatim. Single unbroken spans exceeding 460 words. Up to 85 to 90% of entire copyrighted novels. Word for word. Then it got worse. The researchers fine tuned the models on the works of only one author. Haruki Murakami. Just his novels. Nothing else. It unlocked verbatim recall of books from over 30 completely unrelated authors. One author's books opened the vault to everyone else's. The memorization was already inside the model the whole time. The fine tuning just removed the lock. Your book might be in there right now. You would never know it unless someone looked. Every safety measure the companies rely on failed. RLHF failed. System prompts failed. Output filters failed. The exact protections these companies cite in courtroom defenses did not stop a single page from being extracted. Then the researchers compared the three models. GPT-4o. Gemini. DeepSeek. Three different companies. Three different countries. They all memorized the same books in the same regions. The correlation was 0.90 or higher. That means they all trained on the same stolen data. The paper names the sources directly: LibGen and Books3. Over 190,000 copyrighted books obtained from pirated websites. Right now, authors and publishers have dozens of active lawsuits against OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Meta. These companies have argued in court that their models learn patterns. Not copies. That no book is stored inside the weights. This paper says that is a lie. The books are still inside. And researchers just pulled them out.

Fun facts about data center jobs: A 1-billion watt AI data center can cost about $35 billion to build, covering 10 million square feet, using about 5,000 temporary construction workers for 1-3 years. But once it's up and running, it'll employ only about 500 people. That's about as many as two Walmart stores. By contrast, the Ford Highland Park Plant automobile factory in Detroit (operating 1910-1974) was 4 million square feet, and employed about 50,000 workers. If you think big facilities automatically mean lots of jobs, you're not understanding just how automated these data centers are. AI lobbyists often promise that data centers will 'create lots of permanent new jobs'. Politicians funded by the AI industry echo these promises. Both are lying to you.

Judge Cannon blocked this part of the report Bondi was in such a rush to try and frame Jack Smith that she accidentally ended up releasing files that show why. Trump profited from classified information as a private citizen. He didn’t declassify it as president. He didn’t just fail to return it. He knowingly kept, shared and monetized sensitive US information, Including information that only 6 people had access to that was deemed a “severe national security risk”
Adam Schiff@SenAdamSchiff

As with everything with Donald Trump, it always comes down to money. His money. And that's the only real priority he has, even when it's our national security at stake.

Christopher Columbus was so infamously cruel that the Spanish crown paid to send someone to Hispaniola in 1500 to investigate. This resulted in a 48-page report detailing the testimony of two dozen witnesses, and the investigator himself, of how Columbus had mismanaged the colony, cut off ears and noses, tortured colonists that questioned his authority, paraded women naked, and sold natives into slavery. He was arrested, tried, and stripped of his titles. Some people that witnessed his barbarism, who had initially supported and participated in his colonization efforts, became so disgusted by Columbus's behavior that they also published accounts of his atrocities and began advocating for the rights of Indigenous populations. In particular, a contemporaneous Pope, and many other lesser Catholic figures, condemned Columbus explicitly, viewing his behaviors as grave offenses against G-d. Matt, you are literally more of a cretin than people that died before 1600 BCE. I wouldn't call you a conservative, I would call you a barbarian.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

Christopher Columbus is the ultimate IQ test. You immediately know that someone is a retarded halfwit if they start screeching some nonsense about how Columbus was a genocidal maniac or whatever. Intelligent students of history understand that he is one of the great men of western civilization. This is an awesome move by the White House.

So let me get this straight. The previous administration criminally prosecuted Michael Flynn. Michael Flynn pleaded GUILTY to the charges. Then Trump 2.0 pardons Michael Flynn. Flynn sues the previous administration for politically motivated prosecution. ...And the current Trump administration is settling the lawsuit with taxpayer dollars an UNDISCLOSED amount of $. There needs to be a law against this kind of self-dealing. This is absolutely maddening.
Zoe Tillman@ZoeTillman

NEW: DOJ has reached a financial settlement with Michael Flynn, the conservative activist and former Trump adviser who sought millions for what he alleged was a politically motivated prosecution. No $ details in court notice today, more to come buff.ly/ccz6Hj3 Prev: buff.ly/sWZrlKV

Let me explain what just happened 👇 5 minutes before the President announced a halt to attacks on Iran… someone placed a $1.5 BILLION bet on stocks going up and dumped $192 million in oil. 5 minutes… These trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else in the entire market. Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch. There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made. Someone in that room picked up a phone. And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it. This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions. This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight. You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question. Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. By tomorrow this will be buried under the next satisfying headline. Just like last time. And the time before that. The game is rigged. And they’re not even trying to hide it anymore…

BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump's announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.

The Federal Parent Locator Service is, by the government's own description, "the most powerful people-finder system that the U.S. government has." It holds the name, address, Social Security number, employer, and salary of every employed person in the country. It also holds the name, birth date, SSN, and family members of every child in a child support case. And whether that child's mother has experienced domestic violence. Federal law explicitly bars DHS from accessing it. Immigration enforcement is not an authorized use. DHS is not an authorized user. ProPublica reports DHS wants it anyway. HHS's general counsel — now a Trump political appointee — is actively considering whether to comply. When ProPublica asked DHS for comment, DHS asked for more time. Then provided nothing. A DHS spokesperson later publicly denied seeking access. ProPublica and CNN both have sources confirming the request is being considered inside HHS right now. DOGE briefly accessed the employment portion of this same database last year before being cut off. The ask is not new. The escalation is.
Mike Young tweet media

The database DHS wants to access contains the name, address, Social Security number, employer, and salary or wages of every employed person in the country, as well as the equivalent details for anyone listed in state unemployment systems. propublica.org/article/dhs-tr…

Private organizations should not be in control of public utilities. Nor should you have to pay these private organizations for existing in life.
Hedgie@HedgieMarkets

🦔 NV Energy is cutting off power to Lake Tahoe's Liberty Utilities by May 2027, leaving 49,000 customers without 75% of their electricity supply. NV Energy said it can't continue the contract because of its "own resource needs." At a business event last September, an NV Energy executive said data centers have driven requests to triple the company's peak capacity, calling it "unprecedented times" and adding that they're "excited to serve this load" but "cannot impact our existing customer base." Liberty Utilities now has about a year to find replacement power, likely from sources outside California since it's not physically connected to California's energy market. My Take A utility is telling 49,000 residential customers to find electricity elsewhere because data centers need the capacity. That's the tradeoff being made explicit. NV Energy didn't frame it that way, but when your executive says data center requests would triple peak capacity and then you cut off a decades-long customer to meet your "own resource needs," the math is obvious. This is happening while AI companies burn through electricity at rates that would have seemed absurd five years ago. Jensen wants engineers using $250,000 in tokens per year. OpenAI is building data centers that need their own power plants. And now a ski town is being told to find power somewhere else because the grid can't serve both them and the machines. The NV Energy executive said they can't impact their existing customer base, but Liberty's customers are their existing customer base. They just decided which customers matter more. Hedgie🤗

If you scratch the surface here you'll find a wicked history. They're building this data center at the site of a uranium enrichment facility in Piketon that was notorious for venting copious & illegal amounts of radioactive UF6 into the community under the cover of darkness. Vortex of evil.
Pubity@pubity

The largest data center in the world is planned to be built in Ohio, and it'll cost up to $40,000,000,000 to construct. The 3,700 acre center will require 10 Gigawatts, 1/3 of Ohio's entire power grid capacity, to run.

I would be worried if a dev in my team consumed $250,000 worth of tokens yearly. Of course Jensen would love that every developer was willing to pay that much for tokens processed on Nvidia hardware. Also: A RTX Pro 6000 96GB ($8000) or a M5 Max 128GB ($5000) runs LLMs locally. Open source models today are roughly half a year behind commercial ones, but they have been catching up rapidly. If you really want to run the biggest models, a H200 256GB costs around $30k. Put couple of them in your local server room. That's much less than $250k/year per dev.
TFTC@TFTC21

Jensen Huang: "If that $500,000 engineer did not consume at least $250,000 worth of tokens, I am going to be deeply alarmed. This is no different than a chip designer who says 'I'm just going to use paper and pencil. I don't think I'm going to need any CAD tools.'"
