People who grew up after 9/11 can’t comprehend the optimism in the world from that era, because it’s never existed since. Almost everyone had a computer and this internet thing looked like it could really change things for the better. Everyone had an idea about how you could use the internet to make cool stuff. The Soviet Union was really gone, and Russia was cool. China was opening up and US - China relations looks bright. Conflicts in the world felt small and local instead of feeling like any little spat could erupt into global thermonuclear annihilation. In the US people could afford homes, collage was attainable, and degrees were more meaningful and a 20 could fill gas tank. 9-11 changed things at such a fundamental level, people who didn’t experience the 90s cannot understand the shift because they’ve never experienced an optimistic world.

Not to be a whiny complainer but why is it 2026 and the point of aim isn't tied to screen center? This is most of what causes the 'floaty' aim feeling that most MNK players describe. Might look like a small difference but makes a huge difference with how gunplay/aiming feels overall It should be the absolute standard to have it tied to center, at the very least make it a toggle setting like how corner slicing was

My plea to Democrats in Congress is this: get back to Washington. Even if you can't gavel in from recess. Even if you don't have a quorum. Even if another war powers resolution vote fails. It's not enough to Tweet. Get inside the building and show the world you are trying. NOW!

Any student of history will tell you this is an extremely dangerous moment. People like Trump who make wild threats to do insane homicidal things again and again are full of shit—until they aren’t. All the safeguards are gone. The generals have been removed. Our allies have been alienated. Congressional Republicans will follow Trump to the apocalypse. We really are on the razor’s edge of total disaster here and millions if not billions of lives hang in the balance.
