#VC10birthday Today is the anniversary of G-ASGG's first flight in 1965. This Super #VC10 was initially used to test and certify the new Elliot autoland system for the Super VC10 fleet. It flew as a K4 tanker serialled ZD235 before retiring in 2002. vc10.net/Airframes/cn_8…

#VC10birthday Today is the anniversary of ZD241's first flight in 1995. This ex-BOAC Super VC10 became a K4 tanker in its 2nd career and then a crowd favourite at Bruntingthorpe in its 3rd career, carrying passengers during its taxi runs. Scrapped in 2022. vc10.net/Airframes/cn_8…

@stotfoldbirder @GJDServices It's ZA149 or ZA147 I guess. Is it a recent photo? ZA147 was scrapped in 2021 but ZA149 several years before, so you would need to figure out how old the cuts are.... 😉
