UK authorities investigating why a Ryanair 737 MAX came within seconds of crashing during a go-around at London Stansted in December.

@cjla787 @aviationbrk No this was hitting level change when they thought they had their missed approach altitude set but it was set incorrectly. Plane just did what it was told to

@aviationbrk Likely pilot error. Sounds similar to the Southwest 737 Max that came within 400 ft of crashing in the ocean during a go around, because the first officer pushed the nose down when he obviously should have been pulling back and climbing.

@scottiebateman @CharlotteV A pilot apprenticeship already exists! It’s just no airline offers one, or has chosen to. So it clearly can be done! (The Jet2 one is not an official apprenticeship)

It’d be great to see a pilot apprenticeship that would receive some sort of government loan support, similar to a degree. An innovative solution to make the pilot occupation open to all those that are capable of flying, not just those capable of funding it. Something done by a not for profit, perhaps. @avgasaddiction and I have some ideas we’d love to share over a coffee.

The only way we can build a modern, innovative & forward-facing sector is by working with the aviation industry✈️ Today I chaired the 3rd meeting of the Aviation Council which considered skills and apprenticeships plus airspace modernisation.

@ThatSillyGinge Honestly AirPods, expensive but being apply they instantly connect when you open the lid, no need for faffing with Bluetooth. And the noise cancelling on the AirPods Pro 2 are incredible. Well worth it, use them everyday

I now have a phone that doesn’t have a 3.5mm earphone jack (😭) and am looking for a decent pair of bluetooth earphones for both casual use & exercise. I really don’t want to splash out on AirPods if I can help it, but what good alternatives are out there?
