@TrueWales

No to more overpaid politicians in Cardiff Bay. Yes to a better funded Welsh NHS.

A reminder that senior politicians vehemently denied that a Yes vote in 2011 would lead to an increased number of highly paid politicians in Cardiff Bay. Expanded Welsh Parliament needs extra £19m to run bbc.com/news/articles/…

I feel sick seeing this. My heart is broken. Jewish cemetery in the UK vandalised as almost 50 headstones have been pushed over.

At the Nova exhibition on a table full of abandoned items at the site was this little red postbox. It stood out among all the everyday things and reminded me that 18 British citizens were murdered by Palestinian terrorists on October 7.

Fantastic. These people had beautiful voices. Such a loss to go from this to the "music" we have today.

Remember this idiot? The Welsh nurse screaming “Falesteen” and talking about women’s breasts when he went all the way to Egypt to try to get into Gaza but the Egyptians turned him away He’s back! With friends screaming “It’s coming” at Jews in London

What kind of government rushes through executions of protesters from the previous uprising in 2022 in the middle of a war in 2026? Shame on the “progressive left” for being useful idiots to the most extreme far right fascism there is on the planet in the name of “anti imperialist resistance”. Absolutely disgraceful. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@TrueWales @Tolstoy1999 I carefully said it wasn’t a political point. It’s a linguistic one. I’m in favour of support for minority languages. (I’m also irked whenever politicians refer to English as “the language” of this country.)

@OliverKamm A typical nationalist point. Am pretty sure some of the Labour First Ministers since 2001 have spoken very respectable Welsh. But nobody ever comes up to Nationalist levels of purity.

She was banned from her university because she was Jewish. So she built a secret laboratory in her bedroom and kept working. 🔬 Rita Levi-Montalcini was an Italian Jewish neuroscientist who refused to stop doing science even as Mussolini's racial laws stripped her of every right she had. During World War II, she hid from the Nazis, worked underground, and continued her research on chicken embryos by candlelight. After the war, she went on to discover Nerve Growth Factor, a breakthrough that transformed our understanding of how cells develop and survive. In 1986, she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. She lived to 103. She worked until the very end. And she once said: "Above all, don't fear difficult moments. The best comes from them." Her story is not just a story about science. It is a story about what happens when you refuse to let hatred define the limits of your life. Share this with someone who needs to hear it today. 🕎 #JewishHistory #JewishHeritage #WorldHistory #JewishCulture #Holocaust

I just can’t get over this photo from an anti-Israel march in Dublin on Saturday. It’s not the flying of the Hezbollah flag that disturbs me, because sadly Hezbollah flags have become a semi-regular sight on the streets of Dublin. It’s the look on this man’s face. No attempt to conceal his identity, a wide smile as he poses for the camera. This is the look of a man who knows man knows he will face zero repercussions - social, professional or otherwise - for waving the flag of an Islamist terrorist organisation responsible for countless atrocities, including the murder of an Irish soldier, Private Seán Rooney. This is what our media class has actively stoked with their bias and disinformation, and what our government has enabled with their cowardly appeasement. This is Ireland in 2026.
