Journalists should ask the following:
Will he index capital gains to inflation? (Or will he tax people who haven’t actually made money in real terms?)
Will there be a rate of return allowance to adjust to avoid discouraging investment (relative to consumption)?
Will there be any changes to the treatment of losses? (Or is he content to massively penalise entrepreneurial risktaking?)
Is there going to be an exit tax? (Or will he allow people to avoid the tax by moving to Dubai?)
There is a case for a version of CGT/Income Tax equalisation (see Mirrlees Review), but it will likely raise significantly less than £12bn.

Wes Streeting has this morning set out his tax plans - specifically bringing capital gains tax into line with income tax He says that the current system is unfair because it penalises work Higher or additional rate taxpayers will pay 24% on gains in the current financial year. Streeting said that the rates should mirror income tax bands - so 40% for higher rate taxpayers and 45% for additional rate taxpayers He says that the approach could raise £12billion a year Streeting said: “A member of my family is a cleaner in Lancashire. She pays a higher tax rate on her salary than her landlord pays for the growing value of the home she lives in. She slogs her guts out, he puts in far less effort, yet the state rewards him more than her. And we wonder why people are angry. “The system is penalising work. It’s not fair and it’s bad for our economy. We need a wealth tax that works. A pound made from simply owning assets should not be taxed less than a pound made from a hard day's work. We can do it in a way that is pro-growth, pro-entrepreneur and pro-work.”

@Truth1But Schade will definitely leave, and Nelson won’t stay so that’s two wingers. Midfield we wanted 1 more last summer in Veerman but couldn’t get him, also never replaced Norgaard properly. Our best left back is still a right footed winger. CBs not sure with Schuster already in.

@TedKessler1 @JackPittBrooke Henderson started for Brentford 80% of the time when he was fit. Played very well most of the season for a team chasing Europe. He is getting on a bit but still a very good player. He is also an experienced winner but he's really not this past it charity case hes made out to be.

@GusMarcel6 @thesoopabees KA has made errors, I would say his biggest has been in trusting players who have let us down. Will never forgive Schade for his shit attitude. Collins and VDB just made too many errors and kept getting picked. Also blame club for messing up in January.

Chelsea winning tonight is disappointing but we had about 10 chances to do our job, we had other teams all season hand things on a plate to us. We don’t deserve European football. And yet again it’s a 3rd season in a row dodging playing for something serious because the team has been on the beach since Arsenal at home in February. Their winger options are a joke.
The midfield is good, but the coach is going to have a hard time fitting Bruno Fernandes, Vitinha, Bernardo Silva, and João Neves into the same team.
The midfield trio should be:
Bruno — Vitinha — João Neves
Bruno brings the creativity, Vitinha brings the buildup orchestration and control, while Neves brings the out-of-possession work rate and defensive intensity.
Bernardo is the one I’m dropping because he essentially performs a similar role to Vitinha, and Vitinha has been one of the best midfielders in the world in that role this season.
