last night the party house airbnb across from us hosted this huge group of ~20yos and they got in this huge fight in the street at 3am where seemingly someone stole anothers gun and I was laying in bed thinking “how fucking stupid would it be if I died from a stray bullet rn”

Maybe if they operated liked they actually cared about communities you wouldn’t have so much push back from neighbors. I’ve been on both sides of this as investor and neighbor. It’s bad.

@MamaLlamaTX @bchesky Do long term stays gusts ever party? No. We rent long term stays. very nice and kind people. even made ne a hamburger once . :) So it's all about communication. Have a chat with the host. You can even DM Them on AIrbnb.

@graylanj @MamaLlamaTX @bchesky It’s not hosts or guests that are the problem. It is @Airbnb . @vrbo is much better at policing hosts and guests. On Airbnb they remove bad reviews made against guests so bad renters can continue to rent and they do not hold hosts accountable for booking massive groups.

@Airbnb @Airbnb is a swamp. Fitting. Don’t expect safety because they’re not offering it. Don’t expect customer service either. It’s been outsourced. You’re better off watching the movie at home & imagining what it’s like. At least you’ll be safer.

@Airbnb We are airbnb superhost , that today a guest just said that felt an odor to mold, we sent our staff no odor or mold at all, seems that the guest sent who knows some pictures from where, AIrbnb just canceled a whole month reservation without requesting any evidence from us.

@Airbnb Since @Airbnb permits guests to lie in their reviews I would want to stay in @bchesky house so that I could wrote a review saying that house has no window & no door & no ceiling... And @AirbnbHelp wouldn't delete it because it's not agains their guidelines.

@Airbnb @Airbnb created a major safety issue for a host I know. Guests are allowed to scam hosts on this platform. As a guest you can call in a minor complaint, get a full refund, and airbnb will still allow the guest to use a house for free. All hosts should pull their properties.
