@brucehardy1971 @Ric_RTP Guess all these these companies will have to spend billions to train them. Or, you know, just let them do their jobs with the training and expertise they already had without the need for AI.

@Ric_RTP People have not learned how to use AI correctly. I will happily work for a company and pay for my own ChatGPT/codex at $136CAD per month. This is more than enough to complete any task if you know what you're doing while making yourself significantly more efficient!

Microsoft just banned its own engineers from using AI. The tool was literally costing MORE than the humans it was supposed to replace. They lied to you about AI adoption and now the whole narrative is blowing up: Microsoft gave thousands of engineers access to Claude Code six months ago and encouraged them to use it. Engineers loved it and adoption exploded. But then the invoices arrived. Token-based pricing means every query, every code review, every debugging session costs money. At scale across 100,000 engineers, the numbers became so large that Microsoft issued an internal order to cancel nearly all Claude Code licenses by end of June and force everyone onto their own cheaper tool instead. The company that invested $5 billion in Anthropic just told its own people to stop using Anthropic's product because it costs too much. Uber's story is even worse... Their CTO Praveen Neppalli Naga told The Information that the budget he planned for the full year was "blown away already" by April. Uber had rolled out Claude Code in December 2025. By March, 84% of their 5,000 engineers were using it with 70% of all committed code coming from AI systems. Heavy users were burning $500 to $2,000 per month each. Naga himself spent $1,200 in a single two-hour demo session. The company had even built internal leaderboards ranking engineers by how much AI they used. They literally gamified the spending and then ran out of money. Now look at what Nvidia's own VP of applied deep learning Bryan Catanzaro said to Axios last month. Direct quote: "For my team, the cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees." This is a VP at the company that SELLS the chips saying that using AI is more expensive than paying humans. Think about what this means for the entire AI narrative. Every CEO on every earnings call for the past two years has said the same thing: AI will make us more efficient, reduce headcount, and cut costs. The stock market rewarded every company that said it. Fired workers, stock goes up. Announced AI adoption, stock goes up. But the actual companies deploying AI at scale are discovering the math doesn't work. The MORE employees use AI, the HIGHER the bill. Goldman Sachs forecasts a 24x increase in token consumption by 2030 as companies adopt AI agents. Gartner just published a report showing that even though individual token prices will drop 90% by 2030, total enterprise AI costs will go UP because agents consume exponentially more tokens per task than basic tools. Meta built an internal dashboard called "Claudeonomics" to track which employees use the most AI. Amazon started pushing engineers to "tokenmaxx," their internal term for consuming as many AI tokens as possible. Both companies are spending hundreds of billions on AI infrastructure this year alone. And Microsoft, the company that bet its entire future on AI, just told 100,000 engineers to stop using the tool they liked best because the per-token bills got out of control. The companies building AI are telling investors it saves money. The companies using AI are finding out it costs more than the humans it was supposed to replace. And even the company that makes the chips just admitted it through its own VP. This is the gap nobody on Wall Street is pricing in. $725 billion in AI infrastructure spending this year across Big Tech. And the first companies to actually deploy these tools at scale are already pulling back because the economics don't work. What do you think?

You are driving home on a cold winter day, you see some kids on the side of the road and as you pass they throw snowballs with rocks in them at your car. You are already in a bad mood so you don’t let it slide, you go chase them down and demand to see their mother or you will call the police. Is this harmless fun or was the driver overreacting a bit?

How can people be so obtuse? YES: It’s legal to be armed at a protest. NO: You cannot physically impede lawful law-enforcement operations. Both things can be true at the same time.

Yes, you absolutely can carry at a protest. Anyone who tells you otherwise is an anti-2A statist. No, you absolutely cannot interrupt a federal op while armed and tussle with LEO. That's how tragic things happen. This isn't rocket science.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but… If agents can pull a legal firearm from your holster, then open fire on you because you had a firearm… Then no one actually has the right to conceal carry.

Since I'm not from America and I don't have lived experience in the country, I need some help understanding something. Is ICE operations impacting your life as an American citizen or they're carrying out their lawful duties and there is no IMPACT at all to your daily lives apart from occasional short scenerios of them arresting illegal aliens in front of you?

I didn’t say that he did. My statements were general. Pretti was shot while in a dogpile. While in the dogpile, an agent discovered that Pretti had gun and disarmed him. There were shouts of “gun, gun, gun”. That’s a recipe for disaster. The shooting of Pretti may, or may not, have been justified. But Pretti didn’t help the situation.

In addition to the 2nd amendment crowd now deciding gun possession should result in immediate execution, the "men protect women" crowd is now clarifying that men who protect women should be shot immdiately.

Dear Democrats: You are not the helpless oppressed side. You are the privileged elite, the entitled, wealthy, and powerful ruling class who dominate culture and media, most institutions, and social media. You can't stand it that you could not win not one but two elections against Trump. So all of us have to deal with your fantasy LARPing that you are oppressed and the country is under an occupation by a dictator, that it's all somehow comparable to WWII and Jim Crow. You should all hang your heads in shame that you have co-opted the memory of those who suffered and died. To invoke Anne Frank and to pretend ICE is the KKK - slap yourselves across the face to wake yourselves up. You are insane. You were too lame to beat Trump a second time. That's YOUR FAULT. Now, you are throwing endless temper tantrums and using emotional blackmail to force Americans to vote for you. Why can't you just do the normal thing and have good candidates and good policies? What is wrong with you? How did you get like this? And when does reality and sanity enter the chat? Now we have to watch celebrities wear their stupid pins and blather on about dictators as thousands of Iranians are slaughtered, and you're too occupied with your temper tantrums to even care or get perspective on any of it. You deserved to lose in 2024 and in 2028, and until such time as you can get a grip. Signed, normal Americans

That’s simply not true. Here are the two rules about guns that are inexorable: 1. A gun is always loaded. 2. You don’t point a gun at someone unless you plan to kill them. You don’t display a gun or look like you’re reaching for a gun, especially in the middle of a struggle with armed agents, unless you plan on getting shot. Anything else is madness on your part.

@realtalkstruth What’s driving ICE to pull citizens out of their homes in subzero temps while they’re in their underwear? What’s driving them to ship five year-old children to Texas? What’s driving them to shoot people when they should be de-escalating? You tell me, American citizen.

@ryansarah4 @jeffcharlesjr I’m pissed off because ice keeps pulling citizens out of their homes and their cars and throwing them in the Whipple building, knowing that they are not criminals and then releasing them. Oh and the trigger happy agents killing citizens. What does that remind you of Sara?

I’m a huge gun advocate the thing that bothers me though is why did he bring a gun to a very heightened protest? Who was he going to protect himself or others from? The only logical conclusion is he brought the gun to protect himself from law enforcement. He brought that gun to shoot ICE. That’s insane. That’s incredibly troubling. That’s vigilantism. I think it all boils down to these people are pissed that Trump is in office and they hate his policies and they feel it’s their responsibility and right to oppose any way they possibly can.
