@BurlsSports @JustinStirewalt Spring training all the way. The best is seeing young players create core memories in their first big league camp.

Fun piece coming for y'all from @TGreenhutOD for tomorrow morning: What is Atlanta's worst contract of all time? Is it Jurickson Profar, or is there something more egregious?

Many remember @CoachLouHoltz88 for his accomplishments in his career. I will forever remember him for the letter he wrote to me when I was five years old, ending it by politely reprimanding me for asking for a handwritten response, when I had typed my letter to him.

What do you do when you’re named @kidswishnetwork Hero of the Month and blessed with a retail giftcard? Provide for a local family in need, of course. Thank you to those that nominated me. Together, we are making a positive difference in the world.

Sending a letter to @ksorbs tomorrow. With God’s Not Dead being one of my favorite movies, I had to give this letter a very special note with my signature. Fingers crossed for a reply.

@BigDavesRants @CardPurchaser @Topps Can’t help but laugh that it’s a bat relic with a picture of him pitching.

Wilmington has lost two legends in the span of a single week.
Sonny Jurgensen — Hall of Fame quarterback — was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. He played for the New Hanover Wildcats and took the field as quarterback in the Shine Bowl after his senior year, already showing the talent that would carry him far beyond Wilmington’s city limits.
He went on to play at Duke as both quarterback and defensive back before stepping onto the professional stage with the Philadelphia Eagles (1957–1963) and the Washington Redskins (1964–1974). After hanging up his cleats,
Sonny stayed close to the game, serving as a commentator for 38 years and becoming just as familiar in the broadcast booth as he was on the field.
He passed away on February 6, 2026.
Just one day later, Wilmington said goodbye to another hometown icon.
In 1977, Jimmy Patsalos opened Jimbo’s Breakfast House on College Road — and from that moment on, it became part of the rhythm of this city.
Every Wilmingtonian has a memory tied to Jimbo’s.
Our grandparents took us there for breakfast after church. Our parents carried us in for lunch after long mornings playing at Hugh MacRae Park. And when we got older, it was the place you ended up after a night of bar hopping, hungry and laughing and a little worn out.
Jimbo wasn’t just a restaurant owner. He was a fixture. A familiar face. A man who fed generations.
He’ll be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Y’all pour one out for a couple of hometown heroes. 🥺🙏🏼
