For decades, the California High-Speed Rail Authority has been overspending and underdelivering. When California voters approved initial funding for this project, CHSA claimed it would be a $33 billion project. That cost has now skyrocketed by over 700%. Today, I proudly voted for the Farm Bill which is essential for our community as we are the food production capital of California. The Farm Bill delivers support to farmers, ranchers, and rural communities while strengthening agricultural innovation. One in every four food items on American tables comes from California's Central Valley and this was a tremendous win for the men and women that feed America. It also included my Save Our Sequoias Act that will advance forest restoration and wildfire prevention. 🇺🇸🚜
