I feel like people are dragging this out and missing the big picture. Women and gay men don’t know these players, generally, because we have other interests (I know Jokic and Wemby but that’s because I don’t touch grass and i am a meme connoisseur. But men think our interests are irrelevant, invalid and unworthy of consideration, because they don’t see us as full people. Add to this Americanism, which is another form of main character syndrome (as is being a man), and you’ll be told LeBron is more famous than Shakira for instance. He’s not.
