Even when Pat Catena apologized, which he shouldn't have, the certain circus party of Allegheny County Council are still demanding his removal. They are removing him not because of corruption, or not due to misconduct in office, but because he voiced concerns shared by a overwhelmingly majority of Americans regarding fairness in women’s sports. This is exactly why people are losing faith in government. This why people are continuing to move out of Allegheny County. Instead of debate, discussion, and representing the full spectrum of residents, we are seeing intimidation, political theater, and public shaming designed to force absolute conformity to national political ideologies that do not reflect the views of many working families across Allegheny County. We can absolutely guarantee that. Disagreeing on policy should not become grounds for political destruction. Leadership means representing everyone, even those you disagree with, not weaponizing government against them. At a time when residents care about crime, infrastructure, economic growth, and the future of our communities, Allegheny County Council continues to prove it is consumed by activism and internal political crusades instead of the everyday concerns of the people they were elected to serve. Voters should pay very close attention to what is happening here. Today it is Pat Catena. Tomorrow it will be anyone who refuses to fall in line with the political machine and the latest ideological trend coming out of national partisan politics. The asylum is no longer being managed. @chrisbriem my love and admiration for this city grew tenfold when I started driving Uber, because unless the person is from, like, Montana, every single out-of-towner is immediately charmed and impressed with how clean, pretty, and eclectic Pgh is. we seriously don't appreciate it enough.
