@ByEricPratt @Graham_Couch I don’t think people realize how special this run is. Decades of sustained success without scandal, cutting corners, or trading integrity for short term success. Izzo has done nothing but good for players and fans the last 30 years. I am enjoying every minute of this stretch!

I know it seems almost like a foregone conclusion now, but for us old heads, making the Sweet 16 is still a big deal. Before Izzo, MSU had been to 6 total. In school history. This is now their 17th in 28 seasons. It hasn't always been this way. It won't always be this way.

@larrygloverlive It may be hard for people outside the fan base to understand, but I wouldn’t trade Izzo for anyone. He has built the program, done right by players and fans, valued integrity over short term success, and just overall made us proud. He’s done more with less than almost anyone.

I’m actually a little surprised by people’s reaction. I think Tom is a very good coach, I didn’t say he wasn’t. He’s a consistent second weekend and an occasional final four guy… But he rarely has a team that can win a Nat Champ. That’s how great coaches are judged.

Tom Izzo is a really good coach… But I find it amusing that people have this meme of March being Tom’s month… The guy has 1 national title it came 25 years ago.

Got home from a 9-hr drive to see this. Even after UM hired a first-rate (and apparently squeaky clean) coach in Kyle Whittingham, the bad news from fired coach Sherrone Moore and his staff keeps coming. Again: who knew what and when, and what did they do about it - if anything?

So when Izzo wins he credits the other team and says they play great. When they lose he gives them no credit. Fears tries to kill a guy and he says he’s proud he started him. Have we left earth?

Only the second time in 20+ years that we have pulled out the aerifyer to break up ice. First time hooking it up to the dingo to help get around the snowy course. Transport speeds were almost identical so it worked great.

@NateLewis77 Apples to oranges for one thing. For another, a big reason for all the focus on UM is the holier than thou attitude that the university and a large portion of the fan base has had for decades. Lot’s of rocks thrown from that glass house.

Idc if I’m beating a dead horse here. This started with the incompetent hire of Sherrone Moore in the first place. A coach that was completely unqualified and unprepared to get a job this big. You put the entire future of the program in jeopardy just to save one year of player continuity. Not doing a national coaching search after Harbaugh left was nothing short of incompetent. They handled the keys to the program to a guy who had 2 years of co-offensive coordinator experience and only one year of play calling experience. It never made sense.
