Criticising the current Israeli Govt when it houses ministers like Ben Gvir & Smotrich is not ‘anti-semitism’ - it’s what any reasonable person should be doing. They’re psychopaths causing enormous damage to Israel’s global reputation.

“Since they are coming from an area that is currently affected by the Ebola epidemic, obviously our vigilance and surveillance mechanism was immediately triggered,” said the institutional representative. Only *AFTER* the symptoms, though. No surveillance before?

For people saying you don’t need it most of the time it’s like saying you don’t need insurance because you “don’t need it most of the time”. Summers have been increasingly hot in the last decade with *weeks-long* heatwaves, where buildings don’t manage to cool down at night anymore, making these streaks unbearable. It’s not just an issue of comfort anymore, you can’t sleep, you can’t work, imagine being a bed-ridden patient in a German hospital during a heat wave (I have). This is not acceptable.

The weirdest thing about the “europoor no AC” discourse is that there is AC everywhere in Southern and Eastern Europe so this is obviously not a financial issue. It is an ideological issue in Northwestern Europe, which is admittedly even funnier.

If the subject of the £5m donation scandal was a member of the Cabinet, a senior SNP, Plaid or Green politician, he or she would be getting doorstepped an monstered everywhere they went. The double standards are sickening

@jconricus @piersmorgan But in the clip you said Islam; not Islamism. I am a Muslim and don’t pledge to the “Ummah” Historically, there is no one Ummah and will never be!

Yesterday, @piersmorgan tried the old “gotcha” on me with an odd clip from the “Unite the Kingdom” March. I think it exposed a basic flaw in institutional thinking in the UK: a fear to call out Islamism.

A spicy Guardian editorial rounds off an historic day: “If defeating Reform mattered more than protecting his own position, Sir Keir would be sending Labour’s most popular politician – the Manchester mayor, Andy Burnham – to parliament, not sidelining him. Why should a leader unequal to the political moment continue leading through it?” theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
