I don't understand why the left isn't excited for America's 250th when our glorious leader is doing such universally beloved acts as introducing a $250 dollar bill and putting his face on it, or giving 1.776 billion dollars to those who commit political violence for him.

@stacycay @LinkofSunshine Elected Republicans feared for their lives during Jan 6th, and a decent chunk of them turned on Trump in the moment. Just not enough. If Jan 6th would have gone further, Trump would have been convicted in that 2nd trial.

@stacycay @LinkofSunshine Honestly, if Jan 6th had succeeded, it would have been for the best. It wouldn't have let Trump hold onto power, but Republicans would have turned on Trump like a pack of rabid dogs if even just a handful of congresspeople were killed by the mob, and democracy would be stabler.

We currently use DST for about 7.75 months of out 12. Moving to permanent standard time would mean much less light in the evening for huge portions of the spring and autumn as well as the summer. It would be horrific. We should either move to permanent DST, or do nothing.
