@CoachDanGo It’s not disgusting. You just didn’t style it 😂 My version is mix of Skyr/Greek+Whey+Blueberries+ flaxseeds+2 walnuts+drop of maple syrup. Wouldn’t change it for anything else! My everyday breakfast no matter what.

I call it Glop. It looks disgusting, tastes great, and the best part is it takes less than 3 minutes to make. It contains 4 ingredients: 300g low-fat Greek yogurt 1-2 scoops whey protein 1 tbsp psyllium husk 100g frozen fruit That's 350 calories. 40-60g protein. 10g fiber.

Long run on a Friday? Why not. Easy 20. No water. No fuel. I believe that’s what the kids today call “raw dogging it.”

@mikealfred @CoachDanGo Completely agree on this one. The one useful thing is a simple HR chest strap to wear ONLY during exercise and full stop. The rest trick people into feeling fit while not doing what they should be doing (exercising)

For the past 6 months I've gotten away from using an Apple watch, Oura, Whoop, and any other type of wearable. I've noticed no changes in my physical health but a positive change in my mental health as I've stopped using a piece of tech to tell me how I should feel.

Love seeing our Japanese bros try to replicate American BBQ. I’m sure in about five years, they will make better American BBQ than us. Just like whiskey, denim, coffee, and probably a dozen things I’m forgetting. Can’t beat a shokunin.

The walk is more relaxing, the mind wanders. And if you are walking in the forest it’s even better (forest bathing). If you’re in a bad mood, the walk takes the edge off. And if you have a problem to solve, a walk could trigger ideas/shift perspetive. With the HIIT you’re focused on strengthening the heart and improving how efficiently your muscles use oxygen. Even if it also triggers a strong endorphin response and the mood lift is real. It’s just different and not primarly what you’re trying to achieve.

I try to walk 1-2 hours every day. Been feeling great, it’s a really relaxing way to start every morning. Does anyone else do this? It’s probably equivalent to 30min of HIIT so I know people would prefer to skip out on it, but I have begun to like it.

Currently in Tokyo. Love this city so much but I always find it hard to get work done here. Combination of so many things I want to do, and lack of good casual work spaces. Any good laptop friendly recommendations? Ideally east side but west also ok.

@brettboettcher1 This is text book for healthy living. Not necessarily a fix plan for older people who have fallen sick. One major game changer which is missing is Sprint Interval Training. Also surprised not to see creatine in here.

If I woke up at 50 years old with high blood pressure, prediabetes and 30 lbs to lose, here's everything I'd do to reverse it by summer: 1. Watch a show or game on the incline walking pad every night.
