@poojaofficial5 A polite NO to such requests (for a window seat) should be honoured. Yes in cases of emergency or in cases of request for a seat exchange for medical, senior citizen, specially abled etc one should do it.

A guy travelling in the AC Chair Car of Vande Bharat Express refused to exchange his window seat and within minutes, it felt like the entire coach was staring at him. He had booked a window seat in AC chair car with a table. A woman sitting opposite politely asked him to switch seats. He politely declined. However, she insisted and remarked, "You are not even going to look outside, kids these days are always glued to their phones." After repeated requests and taunts, he finally replied "No, I am not giving my seat." he spent the rest of the journey feeling that fellow passengers were staring at him and whispering about him, while he simply put on his headphones and ignored the situation. Now the incident has sparked a debate If you have paid for and booked your preferred seat, is it wrong to say "No" to a seat exchange ? Should changing seats be nothing more than a polite request, or should anyone feel obligated to give up the seat they chose ? What's your take ? Share your opinion in the comments.

@beastoftraal Old timers of Mt.Carmel School, FRI Diguadih, Sindri / Dhanbad (in Jharkhand now) would remember of this hole in the wall - which served as the canteen in the early 80's. My wife is an alumni and I visited the school with her in 2024 and took this pic.

2/3 These literal holes in the wall make viral news from time to time. Some of them are famous for 'bear paws' too, where a 'bear paw' serves your coffee. Some also provide a low-stress, socially distant workspace for people with mental health challenges. I wonder why such a concept hasn't been tried in India yet (not the bear paw angle, but the literal hole in the wall design).
