Right now, this is where the president stand if elections were held today. 30%(NW) + 35%(NE) + 65%(SW)+ 55%(SS) + 55%(NC) + 30%(SE) This puts him at 45%. In a two horse race, this is very dangerous( doesn’t mean that he still can’t pull through). To brighten his chances, there has to be a third force from the North. A Southerner as third force will eat into his margin in the South. The president is better off with Peter Obi becoming the VP to Atiku than running as a third force. I understand the rumor of changing the VP. RMK on the ticket gives him additional 5 % in the NW, giving him 50% of total votes, improving his chances considerably even in a two horse race.
