The goal is freedom. Everything else is a bonus.

you must believe you are special and then go so hard, for so long, with such violent refusal to accept any other ending, that reality itself starts running out of ways to tell you no. you must wage a war daily against the ordinary outcome, until the belief you invented out of nothing in a room by yourself has been hammered into the world so many times that it stops being a claim and becomes reality.

i have a friend who’s self made rich-rich. guy goes completely off the radar most days. nobody knows where he physically is. bali? london? dubai? miami?
posts next to nothing. then randomly one story appears. a single espresso on a marble counter, receipt in a language you can’t read. or him having tea somewhere in the mountains. then gone again for weeks 😂
meet him in person and he’s in a plain tshirt and slippers. no logo, no watch, nothing.
when you’ve actually made it there’s nothing to prove and no one left to impress.
lesson in that.

my wealthiest friends are absolutely ruthless about cutting negative people out of their lives. no warning, no conversation, no closure. one day you exist, the next day you don’t.
it’s almost like they’re allergic to them. broke is contagious and they refuse to catch it. honestly i respect the discipline. protect your energy, protect your mind space, and all of that.
anyway that’s how i found out we were no longer friends.
