Here we go, boys and girls. 10 years to the day since Craig's 'reveal', go behind the scenes of the efforts to monetize his #satoshi lie. With unseen emails, exclusive interviews & more, enjoy one of the most spectacular PR implosions in history, & much more, in #faketoshi vol 2
Faketoshi (AKA Dr Bitcoin Podcast)@DrBitcoinPod

10 years ago today, Craig Wright's stage-managed PR spectacle announcing himself as Satoshi Nakamoto dropped. @gavinandresen and @jonmatonis published blog posts stating that Craig had signed #Satoshi blocks for them, before the #BBC and The Economist dropped their pieces👇

@Kleiman1933 @tuftythecat And one more thing - if you read the book, you'll remember that Craig constantly changed his mind over the Tulip Trust - first there was one, then two, then three. Then thee was one that was updated. First, it contained BTC. Then an encrypted file. Then access to companies.

@Kleiman1933 @tuftythecat I'm still not sure what this sort of content proves. So Dave sent you an email about bubbles that happened to arrive one year before the whitepaper was posted...so what? And Craig bought Tulip Trading Ltd in 2014 because it was formed in 2011 - the name was a happy coincidence.

Just finished Faketoshi Volume II (the Kleiman years, largely). A good read, and better than Vol I, I think. I’m expecting Vol III to be even better.

@Kleiman1933 @tuftythecat I also don't believe that Dave would have left you saddled with all his debts and died in poverty if he had hundreds of thousands of BTC. He could have covered these debts and had tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars left. And you found nothing about Bitcoin on and drive.

@Twentynothing00 @tuftythecat Dave didn’t leave a paper trail saying ‘Bitcoin’. He was careful. Timestamped emails to me. His 2009 activity on cryptography list. W&K registered when Bitcoin hit $1.00. His verbal conversations. That’s not absence of evidence. That’s a man understanding operational security.

@jronkain @tuftythecat @Arthur_van_Pelt Craig did this all under the radar for obvious reasons. Then when he realised the ATO might go the Kleimans, he tried to get ahead of them and get them on his side, saying that the ATO was framing him etc

@tuftythecat @Arthur_van_Pelt @Twentynothing00 Also very possible. But I'm not aware CSW presented any of that material to ATO during his scams Down Under. Yes, he claimed some "IPR" ownership uncontested in Australia but Ira was not originally aware of this.

Is there “overwhelming documented evidence” that Dave had anything to do with Bitcoin? Have I missed something @Arthur_van_Pelt @Twentynothing00 ? Maybe I skipped that chapter.
Ira Kleiman@Kleiman1933

@tuftythecat Are they still claiming my brother never heard of Bitcoin in his whole life? A book that gets that basic fact wrong, despite overwhelming documented evidence to the contrary, isn’t research. It’s fiction

@tuftythecat @jronkain @Arthur_van_Pelt This is it. The ATO told Wright they were investigating the 56 mil IP grab, and then the week after he approached the Kleimans with his Satoshi story. Then when Ira sued, he pivoted to say that Ira faked all the emails that supported this story.

@jronkain @Arthur_van_Pelt @Twentynothing00 My hypothesis is that he wanted support for the stories he was spinning at the ATO about W&K. Trouble is, just like everything else he didn't really think it through properly.

@tuftythecat @Arthur_van_Pelt As you said to Ira, all the 'documented evidence' came from Craig, and he disavowed the whole lot pre-trial. Plus, Craig continually changed his role, from emotional support to whitepaper reader. There is no independent evidence that Dave Kleiman had anything to do with Bitcoin.

@Kleiman1933 @tuftythecat So one one hand you accuse us of stating that there's no evidence of Dave having had anything to do with Bitcoin, and in the next breath you say that the lack of hard evidence is by design? If there's no hard evidence, what exactly do we have to go on, Craig's word?

@tuftythecat The absence of hard evidence is by design. Bitcoin was built in secrecy. That’s the whole point. Yet a federal jury still found enough evidence to award $143 million to W&K.

Don't often do personal tweets, but my son got scouted by a Premier League football team today, so this is a proud dad moment!

It's only just twigged that when Killing Satoshi isn't picked up by any reputable distributors, it will be because Bitcoiners have infiltrated Hollywood like they did the British court. Or it will be something hateful against Jews. Either way it's so horribly predictable.

I’m convinced Craig Wright is a Cerebral Narcissist. He does dumb forgeries because he’s desperate and thinks everyone else is stupid compared to him. He regularly violates the idiom, “never assume you’re the lone wolf in a room full of sheep.” He’s like a child that thinks you can’t see him when he closes his eyes. And Craig is willing to shamelessly lie ad nauseam. So he lies, gets caught and just covers it with more lies. It’s hard for many people to successfully deal with someone like that. Anyone remaining in the BSV camp at this point is in deep. Craig Wright is simply a midwit with the pathological need to be seen as this generation’s Isaac Newton.
Frank Rundatz@FrankRundatz

@hodlonaut Mentally ill people make the worst clients for attorneys. Tell me that Craig doesn’t match the diagnostic criteria of a Cerebral Narcissist. He starts every other sentence with, “Well actually….” choosingtherapy.com/cerebral-narci…

@BSVCasey Of course he can refuse to sign, that's his right, but you can't sign for a bunch of people one week when it suits you, then say years later than signings don't prove anything when it suits you in that situation. He can't have it both ways.

@Twentynothing00 He's well within his rights to refuse that. If courts took signing as ownership, future cases are completely fucked, if that logic applies. IMO Craig didn't sign to make a point. Bitcoin cannot operate how the court assumed it 'should' in that scenario.

If Craig Wright was Satoshi, there wouldn’t have been years of coordinated legal action, media campaigns, documentaries, conferences, and billions spent trying to promote him. People don’t spend that kind of time or money when a cryptographic signing takes 2 minutes.
Lisa N Edwards@LisaNEdwards

If Craig Wright was completely irrelevant, there wouldn’t have been years of coordinated legal action, media campaigns, documentaries, conferences, and billions spent trying to discredit him. People don’t spend that kind of time or money fighting ghosts. They fight threats to narratives.
