We were debating when to release Vol. II of #faketoshi, when we realised that next year marks 10 years since Craig Wright's stage-managed 'reveal' for the press. Seeing as Vol. II covers that period in full excoriating detail, we felt there was only one date. Coming 2 May, 2026

On this day 10 years ago, Craig Wright was prepping for his Proof Sessions PR spectacle, where the man who said he never asked to be publicly recognised as Satoshi was rehearsing for his big 'reveal' to the world. Needless to say, he didn't exactly tell the truth about it...

This isn't all - the draft June 2015 contract Wright signed included a line about the purpose of the book; Wright claims that Robert MacGregor forced this change after the Wired/Gizmodo pieces came out in Dec 2015, but he had already agreed to it six months earlier🤥

10 years ago last Tuesday, Craig Wright signed the deal that saw him sign over his life story rights to Andrew O'Hagan (we know how that turned out). Wright has since claimed that this was never about him but was, instead, supposed to be about the formation of nChain🙅

Why we did this in a nutshell. Most people have NO idea of the full scale of the #Faketoshi affair, especially pre-2016, which is, after all, the genesis (ahem) of the whole thing.
