Can @TSSAA take another look at the Sports Calendar? A dual sport athlete basketball/baseball whose basketball team plays in the state tournament misses a 1/3 + of their baseball season.

🚨 SF Giants Prep Steps • Land on the toes - ready to move • Hands + glove out in front • Eyes locked in on the hitter ⭐️ How consistent you can be w/ your preparation? Elite defenders know that the first pitch they take off will be the next ball hit their way.

The biggest lie hitters believe: “Confidence comes from getting hits.” It doesn’t. If your confidence comes from results, you’ll live on a rollercoaster. Hit → confidence Out → panic The best hitters build confidence from preparation and process, not outcomes.

Baseball moves fast. Your mind can move even faster. That’s why great players take a breath. A single deep breath can: • Slow the game down • Reset your focus • Release tension • Bring you back to the present pitch Breathing isn’t relaxation. It’s performance control. Great coaches like @TexasBaseball pitching coach Max Weiner will coach their players to breathe to stay present. Great coaches help players... Breathe → Reset → Compete Learn more and LEARN HOW with my free masterclass at Briancain.com/baseball #Baseball #MentalPerformance #StayPresent

Hitters without a plan get exposed Hitters who are hesitant underachieve Hitters with a plan win more often. Hitters who are fearless win more often. TRAIN TO BE FEARLESS WITH A PLAN

Barrel up a ball right at someone? Yeah, that sucks, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Bloop one over the 2nd baseman for a hit? Yeah, not ideal, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Crush one that should’ve been way out, but the stupid wind pushed it back in for a fly out? Yeah, that sucks, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Get fooled on a pitch and roll one over in the 6 hole for an infield hit? Yeah, not ideal, but that’s how it goes sometimes. *Point* 👇🏼 Don’t get emotionally too high or too low, the game usually evens itself out. Sometimes you smash, but get bad results, Sometimes you suck, but get great results. THAT’S HOW IT GOES SOMETIMES! #BaseballTruth

Good hitting is old school + new school. Old school: “Swing flat.” New school: “Tilt to the pitch.” Those ideas actually work together. Flat keeps hitters from chopping. Tilt lets the barrel match the pitch plane. The result: 🔥 better contact 🔥 better adjustability 🔥 more damage That’s the balance I coach. Drop your swing video to me and I’ll take a look. 👊🏻👊🏻

This is the problem with measuring Exit Velocity! Kids are over swinging to register higher EV readings and these swings will not work in the game. I blame the organizations like @PerfectGameUSA and @PBTourney who take advantage of families who mortgage their futures to send their kids to their meaningless showcases in hopes of garnering a @d1baseball scholarship. #shegone @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs @iamrags @artofhitting @SliderDominate @slider_sinker @CRAIG_LAPINER @hittingguru7 @BLocsports

Jack Hughes, winning goal scorer, with an absolutely perfect post game interview. “I love my country.” This is all we want from our national team athletes, just love the country as much as we do. Fantastic:

This is the #1 team in the country. Watch the pace. Watch the tempo between reps. Watch the precision. Division I isn’t just better. It’s faster. Cleaner. Sharper. If you want to play at this level, your daily standard has to look like this.

I see a lot of football programs starting their strength and speed programs right away after the season. For us, we wait until after winter sports start so we can encourage kids to play multiple sports and not have to “decide.” More than one way to skin a cat though…

Appreciate the NOW. Rick Pitino nails it. Every player’s hourglass runs out faster than they think. One day, the practices, the games, the grind…it’s all gone. Cherish every rep, every moment, every opportunity. Don’t waste your sand. ⏳
