@jfreeman615 @Twilly03 @TSSAA Not all programs carry 35 guys. Many schools rely on 18-25 guys for both varsity and JV. You need all the bodies. Why not wait? More time to prepare. Anyone can see that February is not the ideal time to prepare for baseball in TN. Much if that time is lost to poor weather

Can @TSSAA take another look at the Sports Calendar? A dual sport athlete basketball/baseball whose basketball team plays in the state tournament misses a 1/3 + of their baseball season.

@Cory_Lawrence Shorten basketball playoffs. Teams can currently lose 3x and still reach state tournament if they lose the right games. Start with region and skip district with all the small districts.

Football could also use playoff reduction

Option 1: Push baseball back to April 1 1st Contest Date. Who cares if the season runs into Summer? Option 2: Eliminate the fluff in basketball. The season is too long in days for only 24 games. Plus, only 2 teams from each district advance to Region Play.
