I am very sad to read on TOLO News that some 400 Afghan civilians have been killed and hundreds injured. My condolences and sympathy for the affected families. The massacre of Afghan civilians is the result of barbaric Pakistani air attacks on Kabul. The Afghan people are understandably outraged and the Afghan government is withdrawing its offer of negotiations. No doubt, it is also weighing its options for a response and probably also an escalation. I call on the international community to condemn this vicious attack and provide humanitarian assistance to the victims. I wish wisdom to the Taliban as they review their policies and make adjustments in light of the relentless attacks committed by the Pakistani establishment. I can only hope that most decent Pakistanis are disappointed and even angry about the inhumane and reckless decision of their military leadership to kill and maim Afghan civilians in their name.
