@nextlevelbb So much for a commitment to development across a college program. Redefines a student athlete to someone willing to go juco for baseball over athletics coupled with highest free agency. Is this actually good for college sports and college kids? Doubtful.

@eiszett Have you read all the sources you ever cited? During my PhD we, along with dozens of other papers, cited a paper that I later found did not contain the result for which it was commonly cited. I should be banned I guess.

Occasional errors and oversights are part of science. If we lost our driver’s license for a year every time we exceeded the speed limit by 10 km/h, daily life would become unworkable. Many countries instead use point systems, where trust can be rebuilt through good behavior.

NAACP President Derrick Johnson: The NAACP is calling on athletes coming out of high school not to attend any state-funded schools of states that have moved to minimize our right to vote. The NAACP will fight in solidarity with the CBC to ensure that we have representation, and if we don't, we will withhold the talent that play on the football field on the basketball court in this moment.

The NAACP has launched a campaign calling for college athletes and fans to withhold athletic support from public universities in Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas & Georgia due to Black voting representation. It calls for athletes to "consider all available options under the transfer portal." naacp.org/articles/naacp…
NAACP@NAACP

The NAACP is taking a stand. Today, we launch the #OutofBounds campaign, a national call to action for Black athletes, families, fans, and allies. In response to states erasing Black voting representation after the Supreme Court’s Louisiana v. Callais decision, we are demanding accountability. "Out of Bounds is our answer: we are naming the contradiction, and we are calling on Black athletes, families, fans, and consumers to act on it. The same power that built these programs can be redirected." —NAACP President and CEO @DerrickNAACP This is about more than sports. It’s about justice. How many H.S. seniors are committed to play college baseball right now… and in 12 months will be in the portal? Everything is great until reality hits. Older transfers. Less roster spots. Less patience. Unfortunately, college baseball has changed.

Man, if only we had this around the Palisades. Perfect demonstration of how fuel breaks save lives. Keep in mind, the winds over the #SandyFire here are stronger than they were on the IA of the Palisades Fire, and yet…

The last “pandemic”, people needed vaccine passports to participate in the economy. The next plandemic, people will need digital IDs to participate in the economy. This is how they’re going to move their WEF/WHO 2030 agenda forward.

All this Yale discourse is insane, MCAT scores have very little to do with how good of a doctor you will be.

@boyzie95 Most students at Yale are higher than that and you’re incorrect that everything past the 90th percentile is the same. You’re admitting that applicant pool is lower and concessions are made for race.

The Black students at Yale are in fact some of the highest achievers in the country. Their scores are in the 95th percentile! Past the 90th percentile they are equally qualified and brilliant.
Sir Harry Flashman@RealHarryFlash

@fuqekgs I prefer high grades and test scores and amazingly enough, one can find diversity even among the highest achievers.

Today on #TheInterview : Any path for Democrats retaking the Senate goes through Maine. Progressives see Graham Platner as the potential cure for what ails the Democratic Party. Establishment Dems fear he is a symptom of our degraded politics. A deep an surprisingly emotional discussion with the man himself👇👇nytimes.com/2026/05/16/mag…
