Imagine a large prehistoric lizard with 4 chambered stomachs like a cow. Methane from chambers 3 and 4 feed into lung like holding bladders that vent from pits beneath the tongue. In a panic or as defensive attack the methane sacks contract, the mouth opens and a membrane much like the skin of an electric eel sparks as the gas exits and allows a lizard to breathe fire biologically. No magic.. just nature...
