The characters/music weren't the most relatable but it was the story that it told using those that stuck with me. I've associated memories with music or games in my life before, just not to Stacey's extent

I just wish the game had been about that, ya know? I don’t know if you played Lost Records, but that actually connected me with that feeling in meaningful, memory-provoking ways. I can’t relate to someone obsessively fixating on a mixtape no one else seems to care about and trying to guilt their friends into everything they want. It was just…off to me

I miss when “cool” was paired with an actual cool-headed attitude rather than…whatever this is. Like, if I wasn’t allowed to change anything about this scene except the delivery, I’d just have her say it in a colder, even keeled way to contrast the heat brought in from the fire. This makes both her attitude and the fire stand out more as a result. I’d still think the dialogue itself and the plot leading to it eye-rolling, but that tweak makes the scene more palatable.

I remember spending time with friends, doing stupid (legal) things, and having as much fun before we went off to college. That was the part I related too and why I enjoyed mixtape

I wish I’d felt that, I really do, but the characters were honestly just disconnected from each other, rude, or drunk the whole time. I grew up in 90s and 2000s middle class suburbia and there was just nothing I could grab onto with this. To say something nice, though, I did enjoy the fireworks and the flying

@MADkurious @Critical_Scribe That's the exaggerated part lol. She crashed out at her dad and because it's told through a teens eyes it has a soundtrack and pyrotechnics. I don't think it's relatable part though. The relatable part is teen rebellion and spending time with friends before people move away

@TylerBorden @Critical_Scribe I’ve never yelled at my parents like this. I’ve never yelled at anyone like this, and I used to be a little excited yeller. Kind of still am sometimes😂 But this seemed way too over the top. Not in anyway believable enough to make me feel nostalgic or coming of age.

I had my ridiculous teenager ways, but I never did anything like this or know anyone who did. This doesn’t feel grounded in reality.

@avataryaya_ The interactivity even if it's minimal is an important factor in experiencing the story. You're not gonna get as invested just watching a show or movie. Interactivity puts you into the story and makes it easier to become emotionally invested. It's interactive art and a game 🤷🏼‍♂️

last thing I will speak on with Mixtape for a while. TOO MANY OF Y'ALL BEING TOURIST Until Dawn, The Walking Dead Tell Tale, The Batman, Detroit Become Human, Dispatch, Heavy Rain, Life Is Strange, are ALL BETTER than this. simply because you have to be locked into the story actively & your actions have consequences. Mixtape your have QTE's prompts where you can't fail, what game story progresses with out HAVING to play the game?! The game has mini game sequences like baseball etc, but like there are mini games we've seen in other video games or even interactive games with stakes almost 10 YEARS AGO. I'm usually not a person to cook games, and if you enjoyed Mixtape from the music, to sound, even art direction; it is beautiful in that record but there was no point into making this a game.

Mixtape is the first game; I didn't have to play to play it. It's colorful, it looks great, but I really ain't playing the game at all... This is probably gonna be the WORST game imma play this year FREE YOU LITERALLY DO NOTHING, and even the button prompts they do give you have no errors or fails. I don't get where the 10/10 is coming from, where most of the interaction is hitting the start button for the first time

Then teens come in and start trashing your yard. You start to charge money now because you need to pay for maintenance. It's fair 🤷🏼‍♂️

The south went from a Democrat stronghold called "Solid South" to voting Republican very consistently. Democrats stayed slightly conservative for another 15 or so years but became more progressive until conservative voters left

@KoutoTV Il y a un step up non negligable. Le monde sous-marin peu être vraiment intéressant. Ce qui me tilt un peu c'est qu'on a sorti une " next gen " avec la switch 2 et je ne vois pas cet ecart graphique qu'on peut voir chez Sony etc.. et l'écart est énorme. C'est beau mais décevant..
