I find off-market service businesses from retiring owners and connect them with serious buyers.

Dropped $1800 on a new laptop this week. Sounds excessive until you do the math. I was probably loosing hours a day on a slow laptop. I think sometimes frugality is like shooting yourself in the foot The thing pays for itself in saved time within 6 months

Is college worth it? Find out how valuable your skills that you're learning are to the workplace. For example: Knowing financial evaluation skills VS knowing art history The skills you learn, not the degree you get, determine your earning power. What are you actually learning? If you had to start over, which real-world skill would you choose to master first?

Tracked every single hour of my week. 34% of it went to sleep. I know I need it. I know it's good for me. Still drives me insane that a third of my life is spent lying there doing absolutely nothing.

You don't need to build anything from scratch. 1,000s of boomers are retiring every day and selling businesses that already work. You just need to know how to buy one.

I'll never play a video game again. The moment you realize life is the ultimate game, the fake versions lose all their appeal. Fitness. Health. Business. There's so much to conquer and so little time.

One of the hardest decisions you'll face in your 20s: a) increase your sacrifices b) decrease your desires I don't really believe in a comfortable middle.

@matt_gray_ But don’t let this be a way to justify not reading. The wealthy spend hours applying principles AND reading about them

there's two ways to win in life you can make losing harder or you can make winning easier most people only ever do the first one which makes you default to winning but they don't make winning easy too they treat suffering like it's the point eat rocks as food force themselves through shit they hate grind out stuff that makes their soul leave their body and then wonder why nothing compounds i used to do cold outreach prospecting manually engaging with strangers hoping they'd eventually become clients i hated every second of it physically hated it i literally stood up and walked around every other minute to escape it and so i was bad at it and got almost no results from it because i was trying to win in the hardest possible direction for my mind then i just stopped and put everything into building websites that speak for themselves and posting the work now inbounds come to me i'm doing the work i'm actually good at constantly therefore staying sharp because i'm always building more stuff and winning got easier reality doesn't care how much you suffered to get the result it only cares that you got it

Vibe coding killed these 8 things: 1/ Thinking before building 2/ Talking to users first 3/ Creating waitlist 4/ Analyzing target audience segments 5/ All types of idea validation 6/ Competitor research 7/ Prioritizing features before coding (prompting) 8/ Feedback-loop-based building

Marketing is 100X harder than coding. I know almost 100 builders who have built apps/SaaS. I barely know 4-5 who have got 100 strangers to pay for their products.

Want a simple evening routine? Write 3 numbers before you sleep. Hours of focused work today. Words written or output created. Key actions taken toward your goal. Do this for 90 days straight. Watch what happens.

Malcolm Gladwell says the best interview question isn't "what's the hardest thing you've done?" It's "what makes you happy?" The person who seeks out challenge doesn't describe it as hard. They describe it as fun.

@thejustinwelsh Tell the truth at all costs. It repels the people who aren't supposed to be in your life and attracts the ones who are. If you lie, even if you succeed, you are just living in an illusion. It is better to lose with the truth than to win with BS.
