I fell in love with Indiana University as a freshman there in 1990. As students, we’d usually attend the first half of football games, then leave at halftime and go back to the tailgate bc we knew we usually didn’t have a chance to win. We were rightfully known as a basketball school, and by late October, we turned our attention to Coach Knight’s basketball teams. The expectations were always so high. We knew we always had a shot at making it to the Final Four. Soooo…the reason why you are seeing such emotion from our fan base is because we never thought this was possible. Not after decades of mediocrity, at best. That’s why I can’t find the words to express what Coach Cignetti has done - and the WAY he’s done it. Incredible. Historic. Unforgettable. AND UNDERSTAND THIS: we wouldn’t have Coach Cig without President Pam Whitten. She’s the one who plucked him from JMU. She knew not just how special he was, but with her vast experience in academia and as a die-hard college football fan, she understood the big picture: Football revenue drives every aspect of growth at universities, including applications and enrollment which are currently shattering records at IU. It all starts with football. Pam Whitten knew that, so she empowered people around her - like our awesome AD Scott Dolson - to make it happen. Pam always says this: “IU will have excellence in academics and excellence and athletics”. Needless to say, she meant what she said. And now Hoosier Nation - which has 805,000 living alumni (more than any school in America!) is on the ride of a lifetime! I couldn’t be more proud to be an alum!!! THANK YOU to Pam, Scott, Coach Cig, his entire staff & our phenomenal players!! WSU simply needs the right sponsorships in place from the right companies and to push harder with high-earning income earners. Tweaks, not an overhaul.

Each donor should analyze the benefit of “tax deductible” in their personal tax returns and compare it to the % of their donation actually available to student athletes. While the CAF is a valuable resource, remembr that $0.96 of every $1 to @CougCollective goes to studnt athlts!

WSU is working with a search firm called CSA "as a representative to help formalize and logistics with our search" for the next head coach, interim AD Jon Haarlow said.
"There's a lot of interest, lot of great conversations going on, and we're moving forward with them."

Last night was truly wonderful. I had the incredible honor of paying tribute to the legendary @randytravis - an artist and a person who has meant so much to me since I was a little girl. In addition, we all got to celebrate the @opry and its impact on Country Music over the past 100 years! WOW! Cheers to Randy, to all the artists who performed and who were celebrated and to the Grand Ole Opry and the next 100 years!
