A full-on resurgence of Christianity in order to "save the west" was a tediously predictable response to the lunacy we have had to endure over the last 15 years or so. Many of us warned about this and tried to promote an alternative before it was too late: staunch liberalism rooted in secular enlightenment principles, with free speech at its core. And we were called "Nazis" for our troubles. The over-correction is coming. And I don't expect it to work out well.

@JasonStewart A lot of those were responses to questions about how people will find meaning in their lives if/when AI takes away the need for jobs. He’s right that there’s no easy answer to that.

I don't recall being more frustrated with a podcast guest. This is a man who has been an elected, influential leader of our government for decades. He is great at identifying and articulating the problems in this country, but offers up almost NO solutions. How can that be?
