Given that I like JD Vance and Donald Trump, I've taken issue with people claiming that Vance is either an arch-Zionist Thiel op or a diehard Jew hater. But I've also taken issue with people saying Trump is the anti-Christ, that he's Netanyahu's puppet, and so on.

Today I made the unfortunate decision to unfollow Charlie Kirk’s account. Those running his show in his name and posting on @charliekirk11 no longer align with the positions he himself held. They’re now using it to push an agenda separate from what he always stood for and perverting his legacy. I can no longer and will not support that. He is deeply missed and can never be replaced.

For those who don’t know the history: This is a lie, mostly of omission. 1. Reagan and Buchanan had their disagreements in 92, but remained friends. 2. Despite Buckley’s betrayal, Buckley and Buchanan still had respect for one another, communicated in letters, etc. 3. Goldwater chose Dole over Buchanan in ‘96–true! Goldwater was increasingly upset that Buchanan was pushing the GOP to be pro-life and against LGBT (an era when some of Goldwater’s more outlandish positions had a grasp of him). Mark knows this, won’t say any of it. Why? What is he trying to say?
