@TylerVigen hi! First of all I want to thank you the materials we can find in your website, they are fantastic! Then, I want to ask you if it's there an index or some tags to find concrete items. For example, if I want to find correlations related to cars, could I? Thank you!

As you can see, @BradyHaran needs to keep up his nerdy-ness on @numberphile if he wants to keep Nebraska safe from fires.

@matt_levine Probably not? But Matt should know the SEC is watching. See footnote #30 of the Bitcoin dissent: sec.gov/news/statement…

What happens if you draft an academic research paper every time you find a correlation where p < 0.05? You get a lot of silly papers: tylervigen.com/spurious-schol…

I'm not sure the AI understood what either Duluth or Estonia looks like, but either way I don't want to go there. Air pollution in Duluth correlates with solar power generated in Estonia.

It's new, it's improved, it's got AI-generated explanations for why everything correlates. Today I'm launching the new Spurious Correlations: tylervigen.com/spurious-corre…

@JamesRosenTV @TylerVigen I can't stop talking about this piece -- even shared with my journalism students. So well done.

Take the time to read every line of this extraordinary story by @TylerVigen and his quest to answer a simple question: WHY IS THIS BRIDGE HERE? This is what dedicated, even obsessive, research looks like. I've been there myself...Kudos, Tyler. tylervigen.com/the-mystery-of…

This is an excellent story of twists, turns, old maps and a spreadsheet.

This is wonderful. Epic in its scope. Faintly ridiculous in practice. tylervigen.com/the-mystery-of…

I just published a wildly over-researched article about a question that has been plaguing me for months: Why is this bridge here? tylervigen.com/the-mystery-of…

@anforhouse It's definitely cars going under it! That's the volume of traffic flow on 494 in that area.
English

@TylerVigen Any idea why MnDOT maintenance records (in your footnotes) report bridge #9078 as having "Average Daily Traffic: 151,000?" Is that the average number of cars under the bridge or people walking over the bridge? It seems like a lot for foot traffic, even to a Taco Bell.

@VictorishB123 Sorry about that! Bit of a hug of death. If you hit "refresh" a couple of times it will come up.
English

@plattMSP Ha, don't worry! I make a very strong point of not being paid for work like this. It changes what motivates me and enables me to go wherever I want with my work!
English

@davidmiklethun Sorry to hear this! Could you share what device or browser you are using? I'd like to fix it if I can.
English

@TylerVigen This is unironically the best piece and example of journalism I've read in a while. Well done!
