Dipping w/ the jab can intercept a lot of offense, but dipping after you jab can allow you to smother your opponent, especially if they tend to favor throwing upstairs in the pocket. This was a key tactic for how Morales constantly beat Pacquaio in their first meeting.

I don't exaggerate enough when I say this is one of the few fights I can recall seeing in the last decade where doctors on both sides are visibly worried and one where I legitimately thought two championship-level boxers where making an earnest attempt at murdering another.

If you've any experience with boxing or have watched enough, then you would understand that the kinds of exchanges between two noted offensive combination punchers waged here are simply otherworldly. Calling the real 2017 FOTY a war frankly undersells how incredible this was.
