The visible US role—I’m sure Trump’s use of “mediated” esp. irks Delhi—and the agreement to hold talks at a neutral site can be thought of the concessions the US extracted from India to get to a Pakistani ceasefire. Minor concessions. Glad India agreed. Glad Pakistan accepted.
