The economy will transform into unimaginable paradise when the capital vs labor false dichotomy is replaced with the more accurate labor vs monopoly dichotomy. Capital is the fruit of labor, not the antagonist. Monopolies antagonize labor.

The National Inshore Fisheries Association proposed a basic income for fishermen as a “stabiliser to stop collapse” of the sector facing price volatility, rising costs, and a "drastic reduction in safe fishing days due to weather". They're looking to UBI to save the industry.

An entire industry asked to be saved by UBI -- fishermen Irish farmers already get a "basic income support for sustainability" that pays per hectare farmed. It plays a key role in guaranteeing food security, and for farmers, income resilience and a fair standard of living.

This is an absolute must to achieve a more fair and less extremely unequal society. Even if the actual dividends from these funds are fairly small per capita, it matters to hold this capital as a commons as opposed to creating a few more deca millionaires and billionaires.
