THIS ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Ulster is taking ZERO deductions. Others as low as 20%. There could have been another way @LeedsTrinity . Instead, you have broken industrial relations. Something both sides worked hard for over the past 4 years. What a way to leave as @UCULeedsTrinity Chair. Broken.

My employer @cardiffuni has just told me if I take part in @ucu’s #ucuRISING marking boycott they’ll withhold 50% of my pay.
I have around 14 essays to mark in this period which *they* (ludicrously) tell me take 20 mins each to grade.

Every university has a WAM that calculates EXACTLY how much time they think we spend on marking (always infinitesimally small). That should be the basis of deductions. They should have to live in their own fiction.

It's interesting that @KeeleUniversity will remove 50% of pay for a marking and assessment boycott, when no staff has 50% of time assigned to these duties in their WAM... that's the problem isn't it? Workloads are excessive and we are not well rewarded @KeeleUCU #ucuRising
