@leitaomd @AmrHassanElShal In the Shape trial about 80% had prior cone excision or LLETZ procedure to accurately assess tumour size, invasion. Most in South Asia don’t do this to avoid two procedures- first cone, and then RH/SH after pathology is available!

@AmrHassanElShal Less is definitely more in many cases. Radical hysterectomy as described by Wertheim iver 100 years ago was almost all for larger and locally advanced cases since cervical cancer was never picked up early. We all just applied this approach then to all cervix cases blindly

I’m confused. Why are we doing modified radicals for these simple tumors now that we have SHAPE trial results?? Simple is all that is needed. Am I missing something??
