In Mopti, Moussa Diakite is driven by a powerful conviction: disability does not erase one’s skills or potential. As the president of the Support Group for the Promotion of Persons with Disabilities, Moussa Diakite emphasizes the importance of active social and civic participation of persons with disabilities .
This journey of advocacy is also one of professional growth. Moussa took part in a training training on including persons with disabilities in local development, in line with human rights and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), organized for the stakeholders of Mopti City.
This inclusive resilient urban governance project is implemented as part of the GIZ and UNICEF programme ‘Towards Inclusive and Resilient Secondary Cities within the Sahel Resilience Partnership’ and funded by @UN_GDF
